Template:Future television Kamen Rider Double (仮面ライダーW（ダブル）, Kamen Raidā Daburu, translated as "Masked Rider Double") is the upcoming eleventh series in the Heisei period run of the Kamen Rider Series. It is set to premiere following the finale of Kamen Rider Decade on September 6, 2009, and will air alongside Samurai Sentai Shinkenger in TV Asahi's Super Hero Time programming block.
Promotion
Advertisements throughout the months of May, June, and July 2009 built up to the debut of Kamen Rider Double, who first appeared at the 10th Anniversary Project MASKED RIDER LIVE & SHOW event,, and will be featured in Kamen Rider Decade: All Riders vs. Great Shocker.
Details
Double is the first Kamen Rider to transform from two people at once. These two people, Phillip and Shotaro Hidari, use USB flash drives called the Gaia Memory (ガイアメモリ, Gaia Memori) which get inserted into the Double Driver (ダブルドライバー, Daburu Doraibā) belt to transform the two into Kamen Rider Double. Phillip has access to the Cyclone (サイクロン, Saikuron) Gaia Memory, and Shotaro has the Joker (ジョーカー, Jōkā) Gaia Memory. Kamen Rider Double fights monsters called the Dopant (ドーパント, Dōpanto). The series is also going to have an ecological theme.
The main writer is Riku Sanjo and the director is Ryuta Tasaki. The theme song titled "W-B-X~W boiled extreme~" is to be performed by Aya Kamiki with former JUDY AND MARY guitarist TAKUYA.
