List of episodes |
The thirty-fifth season of the variety series Saturday Night Live broadcasts September 26, 2009 — May 2010 on NBC.
Shortly before the start of the season, featured players Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins were dropped from the cast. Watkins said that producer Lorne Michaels told her that he "felt deep down that I should have my own show… He said it had nothing to do with talent. And I’m just going to go on that. That was his only explanation." Longtime cast member Darrell Hammond has left the show, but will make occasional guest appearances if needed.
Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad joined at the start of the season as featured players. Slate is a frequent performer with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City and has also appeared in comedy segments on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Pedrad is an alum of The Groundlings and recently had a successful run of her one-woman show "Me, Myself and Iran" at the Los Angeles division of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
