| The '''Scottish Defence League''' is often listed as an offshoot of the E.d.l(Enlaish Defence League)although both orginisations share the same forums etc and have links to one anothers websites on there own.The Scottish Defence league is run and operated independantly and not by the E.d.l although not much is known about the creators or people running the Scottish Defence league.The website owner is a Glasgow Male Called Scott Clinton and its main spokesperson only names himself as "Don"Thay have held one demo in Glasgow on the 14th of November 2009 where 70-80 members showed up for a static demo and where vastly out numbered by police and anti fascist groups they still claimed it to be a success.More demo's seem to follow sarting with a "freedom of Speech"static demo on the 20th of Febuary 2010 in Edinburgh.The Scottish Defence League Claims to be a group set up to peacefully demonstrate against militant Islam but in the local Press thay are often portrayed as Rascist,Bigots and sometime nazi's.It is also claimed They are run by the B.N.P(British National Party)Even though the Scottish Defence league Has made lots of attempts to say otherwise and the B.N.P has also distanced themselves from them | |||
