| :On articles, yes; if you like, you're more than welcome to add {{tl|sprotect}} to the top of your userpage. You can also use {{tl|sprotect2}}, which is a little less intrusive (just a lock icon in the corner). Either way, it's your option -- many users with protected pages choose to omit the template. You're still able to edit the page, and any established account will be able to do the same; the template's only there for notification when needed.
