{{outdent}} I requested a ] on this issue ]; the consensus is that the section should be removed in its entirety because the sources were deemed insufficient. English Mastiff

Hi,

I left a response on my talk page and a comment on the English Mastiff discussion page.

Best of luck, --UnicornTapestry (talk) 04:23, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

WP:RSN

Per the comments on the Talk:St. Bernard (dog), I've started a thread at the Reliable Sources noticeboard at WP:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#St. Bernard (dog). I thought the thread might interest you. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 21:57, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Edit warring on St. Bernard (dog)

I am posting this same warning to both User talk:Mastiffkennel and User talk:The Blade of the Northern Lights. You both appear to be engaged in a slow-motion edit war about what constitutes reliable sourcing. I note that you took this to WP:RSN once, but the issue appears to have flared up again and you're both handling it by reverting each other. Please remember that our edit-war prohibitions cover even slow edit wars; just because you are not reverting multiple times within a single day does not mean that you're not edit warring and doesn't mean that you are not subject to sanctions for edit warring. If you feel the two of you cannot resolve the issue of what, if anything, constitutes a reliable source for the statements in question, you must either disengage, take it back to the RS noticeboard, or go through our dispute resolution process. Handling it by sniping and reverting each other is just a quick route to a block. Fluffernutter, previously known as Chaoticfluffy (talk) 22:14, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

I have also started a discussion at the Reliable sources noticeboard, specifically here. I would seriously advise you to engage in the discussions I have opened up instead of blindly reverting; I will not remove these claims from the article unless and until there is consensus to do so. In order to come to an amicable solution, we need everyone's input; please read what I have to say there, and enter the discussion in either or both locations. I requested a third opinion on this issue here; the consensus is that the section should be removed in its entirety because the sources were deemed insufficient. Please do not restore this section again, or I will take it to the edit warring noticeboard; instead of edit warring (and getting both of us blocked) I took steps to determine a consensus, and it is now in favor of leaving the "Benedictine" claim out of the article. I appreciate your efforts, and I honestly think that you have acted in good faith, but please abide by the consensus. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 03:46, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
