Speedy deletion nomination of Matt Hammitt

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Matt Hammitt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. MikeWazowski (talk) 15:37, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:WeOnceWere.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:WeOnceWere.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Misplaced Pages takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Misplaced Pages. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Puffin 17:38, 11 December 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited More Beautiful You, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Steve Wilson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

January 2012

An image or media file has been removed from your userpage, user talk page, or other page because it was licensed as non-free. Misplaced Pages's non-free policy states that Copyrighted images under fair use are only allowed to be used in articles about the subject of the image, and only if no free equivalent is available. For example they are not allowed to be used on user pages, in lists, or (typically) in biographies of living people. As a result, although users are often given a great amount of latitude in the type of content that is allowed on their user pages, it is requested that you abide by this policy. Feel free, however, to add images and media files licensed under other terms. For more information, see Misplaced Pages's non-free content policy and an accompanying essay on the removal of non-freeimages. Further use of these images will be considered vandalism, and shall be treated as such. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Armbrust, B.Ed. about my edits? 05:07, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Leaving Eden (Brandon Heath album). Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:13, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

Seriously, please start explaining your changes in the edit summary. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:26, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

scores not allowed in prose

Thanks for helping to clean up the Djokovic 2011 season article. Is there somewhere a WP guideline for not putting scores in prose? If this is the case then project tennis is going to have a lot more cleaning up to do. I would like to start a topic about much needed cleanup in tennis articles on the project. MakeSense64 (talk) 08:51, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your answer. Just what we needed. I have brought it up on the WP:TENNIS talkpage. MakeSense64 (talk) 15:42, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Re: John Wooden ITN

It was indeed up for a few hours, then was removed due to "lack of consensus"; due to the latter I can't count it as officially being up. Either way I'll sit this one out, not liking what I'm reading on the page right now. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:48, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
