Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages!
Thank you for experimenting with Misplaced Pages. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do.
Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Misplaced Pages
- How to edit a page
- Tips on starting your first article
- Help pages
- Tutorial
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Misplaced Pages, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}}
here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!
Julie Chen
Instead of making unprovable proclamations about a subject's importance as you did on Julie Chen, use facts and attribution to demonstrate that importance, and also make the language a bit formal. --Abhijay (☎ Talk) (✐ Deeds) 09:13, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Your edits to Julie Chen, AIV etc
Hi 173.0.254.229. I've declined the report at AIV because I'm happy that your edits were a good faith attempt to add content to Misplaced Pages and don't meet our definition of vandalism. However, Abhijay was correct in their initial removal of your edits. Potentially controversial information about living people must meet the highest sourcing standards as set out in our policy on biographies of living people. You have now provided a source, but although the information remains in the article it may yet be removed again. It seems questionable to me whether or not perezhilton.com meets the required standard; to retain that information you may need to be prepared to justify it as a reliable source, which might involve showing that it's been written by an reputable author who is an expert in their field, is subject to fact-checking and/or peer review, and other requirements. It might also be worth attributing it in the text (ie "According to perezhilton.com, ..."), which makes it clear to readers that we're reporting the opinion of a single source. Hope this helps, EyeSerene 10:26, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

BLP/N
I apologize for calling that information added "crap." I should have used a less inflammatory term. I have started a report at Misplaced Pages:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#Lisa_Lampanelli which mentions you. Please make your case there. Jokestress (talk) 19:02, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
your disputed addition
Hi - I have removed your desired addition for similar reasons to the above user - as per the previous removals - low quality sources - disputed content regarding a living person , report is at the blp noticeboard WP:BLPN - please join in there and seek WP:Consensus for your disputed desired addition - thanks
Sorry about not signing - please excuse - Youreallycan 21:56, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
