Hey

Thanks for removing that thing from the infobox, I almost want to message Tcatron to "leave the infobox alone ffs", it's the THIRD time he's messed with the infobox. NSLE 01:03, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

Barnstar/Eddie

Thanks. It's getting a bit frustrating, especially when he sees things from only his POV. Hopefully he sees the light, so to speak. NSLE (讨论+extra) 09:01, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

DBZ vandal

Sure thing. Sometimes I wonder what these people are thinking. --Merovingian 02:52, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

DBZ vandal 2

Hi RattleMan, I haven't blocked 210.246.4.174 since after I warned him he has stopped. I will block him if he returns. Thank you for the congrats :-) Mushroom 04:38, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Early RFA thanks

Hi RattleMan,

Thank you very much for your support on my RfA. It has done very well and is currently at 67/0/2. As such, I am posting this in advance of its closure. If I can ever help with anything or if you have any comments about my actions as an admin, please let me know. Thank you once again! – NSLE (T+C+CVU) 06:45, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

hurricane

Well, then the timeline should not include the beginning of the hurricane season and the end because they are just the same thing as the January thing. January said that if any hurricane form after this time, they will be in the 2005 hurricane season. June and November say that hurricanes are able to form more on this date. So I think, those don't need to be there either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tcatron565 (talkcontribs)

Misplaced Pages:Featured article candidates/The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

I had forgotten to ask: are you going to vote at the FAC for Majora's Mask? —Hollow Wilerding 02:31, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

Not a problem. I am currently in the process of uploading the new image. —Hollow Wilerding 02:44, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

Hurricane Infoboxes

I noticed you messaged NSLE about the hurricane infoboxes. I think I've fixed them; go take a look! --AySz88^-^ 21:32, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

To Rattleman

Hey, Rattleman! I jsut wanted to apologize for when I was complaining to you last time! I was just very angry. Sorry! I normally would've apologized earlier, but I was busy with other things. However, I still dislike your use of offensive language. --anon

Hey, it's no problem. I understand why you were mad and I'm sorry for making you feel that way. Also, I see you're looking towards registering an account, good luck with that :) -- RattleMan 03:20, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

OKay, thanks! --anon

spelling

(RattleMan's comment: I had Misplaced Pages:Lamest edit wars ever on my watchlist, and I saw an edit summary with "that's *really* lame" on it, I looked at the change and saw this user change "centered" to the word "centred", which I'd never heard before, so I thought this guy was purposely making a spelling error. Please be advised that I'd heard of many American-British/Australian spelling variants before, but not this one. It was a simple case of not understanding this one variant.)

G'day RattleMan,

it's lame to change from one spelling variant to another without a good reason. I have made it a personal policy to revert any cases of this, even when someone's changing to the correct spelling (however, most people change to the American spelling, since non-Americans ordinarly wouldn't dream of being so impolite). Please don't be lame. Thanks, fuddlemark (fuddle me!) 06:25, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

I had no clue that "centred" was even a word. I thought it was just a random change. I checked in my computer's dictionary (American), and it couldn't find the word, but upon further investigation via Google, it turns out there are some uses of it. Sorry for that. Again, I thought you were just a spelling vandal, had no idea "centred" even existed. Cheers -- RattleMan 06:44, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for your support of the Article Improvement Drive.
This week {{subst:IDRIVEtopic article}} was selected to be improved to featured article status.
Hope you can help.

My talk page heading edit

I never saw your hidden edit to my talk page heading. How do you like it now? Looks pretty realistic don't it? Glad you could see the humor in my haha page as many, all vandals, have hated that link, see his edit. Hey look at this link. SWD316 02:15, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

Majora's Mask FAC

You might be interested to know that The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, which you previously voted in support of as a featured article, is up for FAC again. - Cuivienen 04:39, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

Navbars

Just as for the 2005-06 season there are two seperate bars for 05 and 06; shouldn't there be additional links to 04-05 and 06-07? (this question applied to all the talk pages, like the 2006 Pacific seasons would (should?) have links to both 05/06 and 06/07) NSLE (T+C) 01:31, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

No. I meant, for example, take the 2006AHS. The Southern Hemisphere season has TWO seasons over a year (eg, 05-06 and 06-07 over 2006). Shouldnt the 2006AHS navbar link to both talk pages for the S.H. season? NSLE (T+C) 01:42, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Old AHS formats

I like your table format. Take a look at the changes I made (and am making) to 1492-1524; we should propogate these forward. — jdorje (talk) 01:26, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

Years should not generally be wikilinked, they say. Is there a reason why the AHS intros ({{Hurricane season multi}}) would be different? (BTW, we will probably eventually subst: the Hurricane season xxxx templates in. In the meantime we can make changes to the templates and have them show up everywhere. The most important thing for me is that Atlantic basin and tropical cyclone must be linked.) — jdorje (talk) 01:40, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
Heh heh, whoops. Well, for the "single" one it should be linked because it's part of a full date. For the others...I dunno, it might be right to link the years/decades since the whole article is about those years and decades. The manual of style probably has something to say about it. — jdorje (talk) 01:49, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
Now, one more question. We need to {{clear}} so that the table can cover the whole width of the page. But should this be done by moving the 5seasons up even with the intro (as in 1525-1549_Atlantic_hurricane_seasons) or with it kept below (as in 1550-1574_Atlantic_hurricane_seasons)? — jdorje (talk) 01:54, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
Hmm, maybe (though in that case it's just because the text is short). To force that, however, we should add width="80%" to the table header...and maybe center it too? — jdorje (talk) 02:00, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

80% seems fine. Should we <center> it too? — jdorje (talk) 02:24, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

I meant center the whole table by adding <center> around it. The text shouldn't be centered within the table, except for header cells that can use ! instead of | (this *could* be done with the year column, not sure if it would be better though). — jdorje (talk) 02:28, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, that's what I meant. Centered looks a little bit better I think. — jdorje (talk) 02:42, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

2006 Winter Olympics

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that I reverted your edit to this page. XX is 20 in Roman numerals, and is the official name of the games because it is the 20th Winter Olympiad. Thanks for your edit! EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 01:06, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

I switched the header back to 2006. The reason for this is that the bold part at the header of a page should generally be the same as the Misplaced Pages title for the page, and the Misplaced Pages title for the page is the most common name used in public (see Misplaced Pages:Naming conventions). So, while the official name has the XX and should be used in the infobox, the title and bolding should have 2006, which is the more common name. Thanks again! Hey, RattleMan!

(RattleMan's comment: This section of my talkpage is where this one anonymous user is placing all their messages to me over a long period of time. This anon has a dynamic IP, so it changes every time they use the Internet. The posts right below were made by 71.118.79.122 (talkcontribs). See the talkpage there for my responses.)

Hey Rattleman, I was wondering if you knew where to find any Crush 40 (the singers that sang most of the Sonic songs) CDs. It's usually unavailable wherever I go (i.e. www.Amazon.com).

Also, do you think the Tikal article is good enough to be in the good articles list?

BTW, you should really think about signing this petition. It's a petition for getting the original voice actors for the Sonic games back (instead of the Sonic X actors).

And before I go, where's the site for showing the difference between the Japanese Sonic X and the American one? --anon

Thanks for looking into the Tikal article and showing me that site. And I'm glad you're considering signing the petition. --anon

Thanks for placing the peer review in the right place for me! --anon
Hey, Rattleman! Would you mind putting the Doctor Eggman peer review in the right place? For some reason, Misplaced Pages won't let me put it on the project page. Do you know why? --anon
That's probably it. So, if it's not too much trouble, if I wanted to nominate another article for a peer review, would you mind putting it in the right place for me? --anon
It's as if I'm trying to create an article and it says something like you have to log in or create an account to make an article or something. But didn't the peer review place said anybody could nominate an article for a peer review? --anon

Hey, Rattleman, I just wanted to point out that I didn't put that last message on Feburary; it was on March. BTW, would you mind helping me with the Tikal article? I know I asked earlier, but according to the peer review, the images' copyright things aren't appropriate and better references are needed. But I don't know what to do with the reference, and I don't know much about the copyright things (especially since I didn't upload those pictures). So would you mind helping me? --71.104.181.162 01:13, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Rattleman! I remember you fixed the Tikal's Japanese name, but it has a question mark nearby it now. Do you if the Japanese name is correct so I can remove the question mark? --71.104.182.53 05:24, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
BTW, I need help placing the CVGPeerreview for Tikal in the right place. --71.104.182.53 05:31, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! --71.104.182.53 07:41, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Camille 1969 map.gif

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Camille 1969 map.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Misplaced Pages (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam 19:04, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging for Image:Spacecases.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Spacecases.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days.

Who is David?

(RattleMan's note: I had made this edit, inwhich I fixed a page that a vandal had replaced a word with "David". I noticed that many vandals had replaced words with "David" lately, so I put "rv...Who is David? I've seen vandals inserting his name all over the place" in the edit summary. Jedi6 was kind enough to respond to my edit summary.)

Probably just some anon who finds it funny to insert his name everywhere. Or maybe its Willy on Wheels's new vandalism technique. :-D Jedi6-(need help?) 00:27, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. You know it could always be the Squidward vandal too. Jedi6-(need help?) 00:37, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Dates

I noticed that you seemed to be a bit annoyed with me about the dates of some TC formation and dissappation. You said that you got the dates you have from the TCRs, but I get mine from Misplaced Pages itself. I believe that this is because of what timezone the dates are in. Example: Zeta formed on the 30th in the TCR, but on Misplaced Pages, it says the 29th. So maybe we should have a set timezone for all of these dates. License tagging for Image:S1K 000.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:S1K 000.JPG. Misplaced Pages gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Misplaced Pages, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Misplaced Pages:Image legality questions. 04:39, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Cosmo DAB page

I'm sorry, I got you mixed up with "SeventyThree" (edit: you figured that out now; I took too long writing this reply). The change you made before that obscured the actual article/bookmark name, but I since learned that is one of the exceptions that's allowed by the Manual of Style. Actually I checked Misplaced Pages:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages)#Piping just now, and it seems SeventyThree's edit wasn't wrong either (although the word "fixed" still seems incorrect). So, consider me a bit more enlightened about the subject, and sorry about the confusement/"accusation"! (I also wrote this on my own Talk page.) Retodon8 00:43, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Squidward's house merge

Hi there RattleMan! I noticed that you merged Squidward's House with Squidward Tentacles. Although I suggested the merger, I was wondering whether it might have been better to merge with Bikini Bottom#Homes instead, which is where there is already quite a lot of info on homes, with maybe a "see also" on the Squidward page. The reason i'm asking what you think is because there's also a suggested merge on Spongebob's Pineapple House, which is very similar. Perhaps you'd like to take a look, and let me know what you think! ConDem 10:27, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Hey, the merge looks good! Although I think it might be mostly information for the hardcore fans, I think it fits in much better in the Bikini Bottom page. Thank you for performing the merge... ConDem 23:44, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

That TV Tome link I removed, it froze up my screen at one point and thought it needed to be removed and the removal by the interlanguage Wiki, I had no idea what that was before so sorry for removing it.
