Incorrect correction

I attempted to update the album information on AC/DC's wiki page, as it was incorrect. I own a copy of their album T.N.T. which was the Australian release in 1975, prior to the U.S. compilation album High Voltage in 1976. I was accused of being incorrect and making "unconsstructive edits", which I take offence to. What is going on?

Horse racing is usually a quiet backwater of wikipedia where we just get on with our hobby in a polite and co-operative way. Are you seriously intentionally restoring material that is a direct and explicit copyright violation? I'll post links there, but in the mean time, reblank the content. I'd do it myself but have already reverted that page 3 times today. I have no idea what policy to link you offhand but I'm positive that intentionally restoring copyright violations isn't acceptable. On every page I've edited, all creative content (aka the episode descriptions) has been directly cut and paste from other websites that do not operate under free licenses. 24.7.103.207 (talk) 04:23, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Having looked further at 3rr, removing a direct and obvious copyright violation is an exception to it. So I'm reblanking the pages, and listing them at WP:CP. Avoid doing so yourself. Your username and what you wrote above suggest a strong conflict of interest here. An article with that as its content would be quickly deleted; an edit with that content would quickly get deleted.

Here's what I suggest:

1. Get a new username (WP:RENAME)
2. Be ready to work with other editors to make sure the conflict of interest doesn't affect your edits. It may be best to allow another editor to do so yourself.

• I'm still learning the ropes of comuinicating on this site. I'm writing about my edits to the "aspergers Are US" page becuase though I appreciate the justice of the previous guys 108-etc. effort to acknowdlge my involvement in the founding of teh group, I realize he is more of a reckless hacker or dare say troll like, I then realized that though my additions had no backed up sources like they should, even though they are close to the truth, I thought the better of it and deleted the whole contraversy page becuase I no longer want to be asssociated with that group and the article section contained sensitive personal data that left me vulnerable. So hence why the article is as it is now, don't undo the changes this time.

I agree Kazzi03 is a pest. He is pseudolearned and has very little to offer with real substance. He gets great gratification in posting inane articles that are of little interest (have a look at the views he gets) He also interferes with other posts and endlessly creates edits and deletions.He chats incessantly with other trolls. So, why do you keep adding that material? It does not seem relevant to the article title. If you are a scholar, it would seem that you would be compelled to add references. Badshah Munir Bukhari

Dear Jim1138, I hope you are well. I see that you very helpfully edited the Badshah Munir Bukhari page today. I have since had to highlight issues with this page on the WP:BLPNB. I am unsure about the assertion made by another editor on the Talk Page that the unhelpful and inaccurate edits are being made by the subject himself, or whether that is even relevant. But it does seem that someone wants continuously to create an inaccurate bio. Any chance you could please have another look? Yes the UofP website lists him as Mr. His book review lists him as Dr. though it does not translate well via . Perhaps UofP should be notified? If you want to recommend the article for deletion, I believe that you need to post here: Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion. If you read the information I added to your talk page, it tells you what to do. If you don't add that information, I'll remove your edit again. Also, please remember to add talk to the bottom of the talk page: use the "New section" tab at the top if adding a new topic. Placing your comment in the middle of the page makes it hard to find. HI Jim1138, why can i not add For the illicit drug (see Template:Cannabis (drug)) ? It is just an easier way for people to access the illicit drug page. i have a feeling many people do not know what disambaguation means. Incorrect revert

Your revert of my edit to Casu marzu cited me as adding unsourced content, however I added nothing to the article, I removed content which lacked relevance to the article, mostly a whole paragraph about the disease Myiasis (note: the article is about cheese). The health concerns section goes into far greater detail about the disease then what is needed for such a page, I didn't remove all reference to the disease, only the excessive description of it and reworked what was already there, and I did post all my reasons on the talk page prior to making the edit and included a link to the talk page section in the edit description. 203.51.44.37 (talk) 04:44, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Description + Notability

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate you not deleting the list, many of these women don't have Wiki pages, not because they're not notable, but because Italian American Women are not published as often as men.

I've been modeling it after http://en.wikipedia.org/Mexican_American_writers List of Mexican American Writers, because similarly, they are not recognized as freely as other American writers.

I would suggest copying the list to your sandbox such as user:Srdemuro/List of Italian American Women Writers - you can create that page. I would suggest putting a link to it in your user page: Srdemuro. Remove the red links from List of Italian American Women Writers and add them back to the article as you create the pages or add sources. Darrell Issa - Alleged Auto Thief

An how is something that has a correct link with references considered vandalism? My addition to the article was of a Neutral point of view (NPOV), Verifiable (V), and no original research (NOR).

Read the reference before you call someone out on being a vandal... all I am trying to do is update the article since my teacher referenced this in class today. This is not vandalism - but it is copyright infringement as it's a direct copy of the source material. You have to write the article and use the source, not copy-and-paste other people's copyrighted content. Vertium (talk to me) 01:19, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

I don't see any "vandal" reference that I added to your talk page. The unregistered firearm incident is already on the page. The source of the vehicle theft arrest is not sufficient. It is a minor mention in the NPR article. Try an arrest report instead. BTW: your copy/paste of the material from NPR is a potential copyright violation you need to use your own words. What part? An arrest is notable, even if the charges were dropped when a legislator has a reputation for holding others to the highest standards of obeying the law. Irrespective of that, this was an opportunity to educate an editor rather than just warn. This didn't seem like there was much WP:AGF going on. Thanks for the civil dialogue! The NPR reference to the arrest is a minor side note almost. From my experience, it really needs to be more substantially sourced. I am not sure what would qualify as "substantial", though. It's unrealistic to expect we're going to find an arrest record from the 1970s, and NPR is a reputable news outlet. They are very unlikely to have put this story out until it had been verified and vetted. If it was false in any way, we would have seen the story pulled from the NPR website and a retraction made. I would consider this a reliable source and verifiable content. I still object to the editor's copyright infringment, but the story is worth reporting. I'm creating a section on Issa's page entitled "Arrests" which do not claim him to be a criminal (nor did the IP editor), but the arrests seem to be verified. Thank you. I did want to share a view on your advice that should be slightly refined. When you suggest the user should copy a developed article onto a page that is actually incorrect. The draft should always be moved, never copied! This is the only way to preserve the edit history which is an important part of every page. I suggested copied so that the redirect would still exist. I would not have suggested copying it if the article was new. Given that, should it be/have been moved? Seems moot now as User talk:PinkShinyRose appears to have given up: Talk:Flag disposal. I don't think User talk:IShadowed's comment on PinkShinyRose's talk was supportive. I left a message for the user on the redirect talk page and effected their suggestion as it proved sound. I don't want to parse IShadowed's motives beyond the constraints of AGF. It is clear that people skills are learned and some excel where others do not. The entire gist of my previous comment is simply to not feed mis-information. It's really an innocent slip to say copy when move is more correct, but it is better than if later someone asks the user why they copied a page to a new title instead of move and for them to say they were told to do it this way. And a WP:HISTMERGE is a rather cumbersome correction to effect. Based on your manner, and good people skills, I presumed you would rather maintain the high ground and therefor shared this observation with you. To clarify, the system would reject the attempt to move the page because of the redirect and the fact that no two articles can maintain the same title, at the same time. It requires an admin delete the redirect leaving a summary to the effect: "Delete redirect to make way for page move". Naturally if there was some reason not to create the article under that title, the admin would advise the user at that time which is still less of a bite that outright rolling them back. And if they do delete the page to make way, that serves a clear indication that the subsequent move is proper. So as it happens in this case, the best practice is actually best.
