Hi, TBrandley. I was going through some GA reviews you did on articles I nominated, and I noticed you often say that a source cannot be included because it does not meet the GNG. This doesn't make sense because the GNG is a guideline on deciding if a topic deserves its own article; it has nothing to do with reliable sourcing. I think you probably thought that it was saying the GNG of sources, but it's actually topics. Just thought I'd mention this because it might confuse unexperienced nominators. :-) TRLIJC19 (talk) 03:35, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading File:Dr. Banks.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:42, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Awake S01E12.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Misplaced Pages, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
I think I owe you an apology for my comments in the FLRC. You were just trying to help, and there was no reason for me to go after you. FLC needs reviewers and people willing to take the time to go through articles before nominating them. I can't tell you how many times I've encountered people who just say "Prose needs work." Don't let our behaviour discourage you from reviewing articles in the future. -- Scorpion23:36, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Hi, TBrandley. You are mislabeling your edits as "copyediting", when they are not. First of all, renaming a section is not a minor copyedit; it is a section title change. I noticed you often rename sections or assume a style of editing is mandatory, after seeing another article this way. For example, (presumably) after you noticed The X-Files episode articles had a broadcast and reception section, you asked for it to be changed to that on a Grey's Anatomy episode article GA review. Such should be avoided, because unless it is policy, it is not required. Second, I am assuming English is not your first language, because often when you "copyedit" articles, you reword the sentence into something that is clearly not grammatically correct. Such as "the series was created to be a racially diverse"-- this clearly is improper English. Finally, please stop removing quotes from the quote boxes, because it is interchangeable to have quotes, or not have them. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 02:45, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. Big apologies for the lack of the newsletter last week! First of all, we would like to welcome a new member to the project, TBrandley; we look forward to collaborating with him. We have several new achievements and updates to be announced! We have three new good articles! The articles that were promoted are "Give Peace a Chance" (previously a DYK), which was created and developed by TRLIJC19, Sadie Harris, which was developed by Sofffie7 and TRLIJC19, and "Flight", which was developed by Sofffie7 and TRLIJC19. Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy (season 3) are in the preparations for FAC. There are many things to be done for the project, in an attempt to exemplify its best work. Below is a list of tasks, and guidelines:
Tasks and Gudelines
*Character Pages
Ensure that each character page has this section order:
Shorten character storylines, using {{Cite episode}} to reference episodes, and break down season sub-section headers into just one section, "Storylines".
Keep an eye out for vandalism, as that tends to occur at that page.
General
Many users and IPs have been erasing "surgical resident" from fifth year residents characters' occupations in infoboxes and at List of Grey's Anatomy characters. This should all be held off until more info is given on their current occupation in the season premiere. Revert if you see this, and if it's persistent; warn users.
Some IPs/Users have been changing Lexie Grey's article as well as Callie Torres, going against MOS. Revert if you see this, and try to explain to the IP/User why this is wrong.
Weekly Initiative!
The weekly initiative this week is to develop a Grey's Anatomy-related stub or start-class article, using the relevant guidelines above! Model your article off of a Grey's Anatomy page with GA status. Use your Misplaced Pages skills to fix MOS inconsistencies, copyedit, add more information by researching, and remove unreferenced claims! Barnstars will be awarded to users who destub/de-start their articles, and get the quality level promoted to at least 'C' class! You can determine if an article meets the 'C' class criteria by asking for the reviewing coordinator, TRLIC19, or one of his delegates (Jonathan Harold Koszeghi and Sofffie7) to review the article. Please do not change the article's quality rating yourself; you must have it reviewed by a member of the reviewing committee. A list of stub and start class Grey's Anatomy articles can be found at the project's main page. Also, use the templates listed at the project page to recruit new members; the more the merrier! Take part in these initiatives, have fun destubbing/starting articles, feel proud after the article you cleaned up looks better, and be rewarded with barnstars! Help make a difference and get started! Furthermore, if you notice that any user has participated in any weekly initiative and was not rewarded, give them a barnstar ASAP!
Have fun, and don't forget to cite everything you write! We hope to see several expanded articles, and new members, soon!

Hey, TBrandley. Can you choose a more natural color as a background for your talk page, as it strains my eyes every time I look at it, lol. (By the way, this is written in a comical way, and I am in no way mandating a change in color). TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:19, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
Regarding your offer that you mentioned here, are there any caveats to it? There are actually a few articles that I've always wanted to have someone else help me improve, but I don't mind picking just one if that's all you'd rather do. I don't mind continuing to help if it means that I can get more done. Hope this is a fair enough exchange. Davejohnsan (talk) 15:22, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
Thank you! Also, you're in luck; a user who meets the minimum requirement to be a member of the board declined the offer, so you will be put on; pending the responses of two editors. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 03:43, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
TBrandley, per WP:ORANGE: "Creating a fake message banner that misleads readers into thinking they have new messages is prohibited". It used to be allowed, but after an RfC in February 2012, it was banned. That said, you must remove them from your user page and talk page. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:13, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
We're approaching the beginning of 2012's final round. Pool A sees Cwmhiraeth (submissions) as the leader, with 300 points being awarded for the featured article Bivalvia, and Pool B sees Grapple X (submissions) in the lead, with 10 good articles, and over 35 articles eligible for good topic points. Pool A sees Muboshgu (submissions) in second place with a number of articles relating to baseball, while Pool B's Ruby2010 (submissions) follows Grapple X, with a variety of contributions including the high-scoring, high-importance featured article on the 2010 film Pride & Prejudice. Ruby2010, like Grapple X, also claimed a number of good topic points; despite this, not a single point has been claimed for featured topics in the contest so far. The same is true for featured portals.
Currently, the eighth-place competitor (and so the lowest scorer who would reach the final round right now) has scored 332, more than double the 150 needed to reach the final round last year. In 2010, however, 430 was the lowest qualifying score. In this competition, we have generally seen scores closer to those in 2010 than those in 2011. Let's see what kind of benchmark we can set for future competitions! As ever, if you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Misplaced Pages:WikiCup/Reviews. Questions are welcome on Misplaced Pages talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Misplaced Pages:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Do you know who changed it
Hi, TBrandley. I just finished fixing the theatre film and drama GA listings back to the appropriate way, and it took an hour! That said, do you know who originally changed it so I can explain to them why it was inappropriate? Thanks, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:34, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your extensive GA review of Sherlock (TV series), and helping to get it up to GA standard. It's taken many, many hours to get it to that state. I really appreciate your specific advice too, and willingness to make a couple of changes yourself. Thanks again. The JPS22:04, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for the recognition. Have you considered getting the article copy-edit so you can go to FAC, and make to article reach Featured Article status? TBrandley22:07, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
Mmm, not sure. FAC is so time-consuming with little benefit to the reader. I think my time could be better spent elsewhere improving Cs to Bs, etc. I think my next ambition, to complete my Steven Moffat set (Sherlock is my fifth Moffat article to achieve GA/FA) is to get Coupling (UK TV series) up to GA (which requires some more work, particularly in the Characters section). The JPS22:17, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!
The Resilient Barnstar
TBrandley, I can say that I am deeply impressed by the gradual change you have been displaying in your quality of editing. Specifically, your GA reviews have gone a long way. You've gone from doing whitewash reviews like this, to highly extensive reviews like this. You have received much criticism throughout your time on Misplaced Pages, but you have not let it affect your enthusiasm to improve your editing. I hope you continue working hard, and keep trying to excel on Misplaced Pages! TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 22:26, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! I appreciate the recognition. Typically, I try to take "constructive criticism" rather than taking it as person who is a "hater". TBrandley22:33, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
