Arsen Zhorayevich Galstyan (Template:Lang-hy, Template:Lang-ru, born 19 February 1989, in Nerkin Karmiraghbyur, Armenian SSR, Soviet Union) is an Armenian-Russian judoka who, competing for Russia, won the Men's - 60 kg Gold Medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics, defeating Rishod Sobirov, ranked number one by the International Judo Federation, in the semi-finals, and then Hiroaki Hiraoka in the finals with an ippon after 41 seconds. He brought Russia its first gold medal in the Games.
Arsen Galstyan was born in Armenian SSR. His brothers, Arman and Tigran, also compete in judo. When he was seven, the family moved to Russia and settled in the stanitsa of Giaginskaya, Adygea. In 2007, he finished third in the Russian National Championship, and in the same year, he first represented Russia internationally. In 2009, he became a European Champion, and in 2010 he won a bronze medal in the World Championship.
In December 2010, Galstyan fought, as a sparring partner, against Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, a black belt and former judo champion.
As of 2012, Galstyan lives in the city of Krasnodar and is a student at Kabardino-Balkarian State University.
