Hi,

I notice you have reported me to the Edit Warring notice board, and I have read your reasoning. I understand where you are coming from, but feel you have made an error. You have assumed that the edits are from one person, using multiple IP's.

This is the problem of open editting.

The ] has 6000 members, and a short while ago one of the members commented on our forum that the Misplaced Pages entry was listing us as a ].

This has resulted in a number of members making a number of edits independantly, so looking like a vandalism attack. If you have an open edit policy then this will happen from time to time.

Your colleague ] has explained to me about the definition of 'club' used by the motorcycle section of wikipedia, and I understand your view. However, the other 6000 members do not understand as it is not clear to all.

I have suggested a paragraph be inserted in the 'RBLR page', (rather than changing the 'list of clubs' page) to clarify where the RBLR fits in the club terminology, however Dennis removed this. I have queried his decision with him.

I understand why you do not desire undiscussed changes on the generic motorcycle pages, but many people are not aware of the edit process (myself included, but learning fast) and so I expect this to re-occur from time to time.

I will place a notice on our forum requesting that they do not make changes, but send views to me. This should reduce the edits.

May I then request that either yourself or Dennis enter discussion with me to bring the RBLR page up to date.

Yours

Steve Garth Webmaster RBLR

Disambiguation link notification for August 24

Hi. When you recently edited Totenkopf, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages German and Skull and crossbones (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I've reported our discussion to Wikiquette Assistance Notice of Wikiquette Assistance discussion

Hello, Trofobi. This message is being sent to inform you that a discussion is taking place at Misplaced Pages:Wikiquette assistance regarding I did say I'd have to check where to report trolling.... The thread is {{{Misplaced Pages:Wikiquette assistance}}}#Talk:Broadsword_.28disambiguation.29.23August_2012_cleanupThe discussion is about the topic Broadsword_(disambiguation). Thank you. --ZarlanTheGreen (talk) 16:33, 9 September 2012 (UTC) I found the pages regarding how to report Wikiquette Assistance, and how to make this notice to be in need of a bit more clarification, so I may have made a few mistakes in the process of the report and/or the above notice.--ZarlanTheGreen (talk) 16:33, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Yep, totally fucked up the notice. Well, you can check Misplaced Pages:WQA#Talk:Broadsword_.28disambiguation.29.23August_2012_cleanup, Misplaced Pages:Dispute_resolution and Misplaced Pages:Etiquette for more info.--ZarlanTheGreen (talk) 16:42, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
Could you be so kind and fix at least the headline-mess and the WP:PA you left here. Or do you want me to deal with these? --Trofobi (talk) 15:05, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
(Original Zarlan's contributions moved to WQA-noticeboard as agreed below. --Trofobi (talk) 01:04, 14 September 2012 (UTC))
Please move these answers & accusations to the WQA-noticeboard, I will react there. --Trofobi (talk) 00:04, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
If you think they're relevant, just mention them on the noticeboard ...or if you don't want them here, you have my permission to move them there, as long as you copy all of it (except for the first row, as it'd create another section) and say where it's from. Either way you have my permission to remove this section of your talk page ...but as it's your own talk page, you don't really need my permission anyway.--ZarlanTheGreen (talk) 00:23, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Notice of Dispute resolution discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Misplaced Pages:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding a content dispute in which you may have been involved. Content disputes can hold up article development, therefore we request your participation in the discussion to help find a resolution. The thread is "Misplaced Pages:Dispute resolution noticeboard#Broadsword". Thank you! EarwigBot  19:59, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

An automatic notice! Nice. No way for me to fuck that up. Well, no need for me to notify you, then. Anyway, Misplaced Pages:Wikiquette assistance doesn't exist anymore, so I put this up for dispute resolution instead.--ZarlanTheGreen (talk) 20:03, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi! I am the dispute resolution volunteer who will be assisting this case. Right now we are waiting for your initial comment. If you choose not to participate, that's OK; just let me know so we can move forward instead of waiting for your input. Thanks! --Guy Macon (talk) 22:27, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi Guy, thank you for your time & work. I use to think about an answer before posting heated up thoughts, but will reply soon. --Trofobi (talk) 23:17, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Take as much time as you need. There is no deadline. --Guy Macon (talk) 00:04, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Hello, from a DR/N volunteer

This is a friendly reminder to involved parties that there is a current Dispute Resolution Noticeboard case still awaiting comments and replies. If this dispute has been resolved to the satisfaction of the filing editor and all involved parties, please take a moment to add a note about this at the discussion so that a volunteer may close the case as "Resolved". If the dispute is still ongoing, please add your input. Guy Macon (talk) 04:47, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

Nuclear renaissance page editing

Hi, I have started a new talk section on http://en.wikipedia.org/Nuclear_renaissance regarding your reverting of my edits and asking for citations. I would appreciate your input. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ecoltom (talkcontribs) 07:05, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

Tweak user page

Hi, I saw your userpage, and wondered if you'd mind helping distinguish the page a bit more, maybe by putting this at the top? { {subst:user page} } (without spaces) - more help here Template:User page . Widefox; talk 11:07, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for your suggestion. Don't you think this notice and all the obvious babel/irony/etc. is fully sufficient? --Trofobi (talk) 10:46, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
Nein, I'm happy to leave that to the template designers. Widefox; talk 18:15, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
Hmmm, it's really surprising that your own user page doesn't feature it then. --Trofobi (talk) 00:23, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Done. I am still concerned about your page per WP:FAKEARTICLE. Would you consider adding the noindex in the mean-time? Widefox; talk 09:48, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Ah, thanks - I didn't know or even imagine there was a guideline like this...  Done too :)
BTW, would you like to get a little help improving your user page's statement at de:Benutzer:Widefox to match your babel level? --Trofobi (talk) 14:18, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
you mean something like "finden Sie auf meiner Webseite"? haven't logged into in ages. Widefox; talk 22:02, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Well... not really... rather something like "Mein Hauptprofil ist: ]" or "Besuchen Sie meine englische Benutzerseite" (but Siezen is rather uncommon among German Wikipedians) or "Besuch mich im en.wiki: ]" or "Ich bin nicht so oft hier, sondern meistens dort: ]" or "Mein Hauptaccount ist in der englischsprachigen Misplaced Pages: ]" would sound like you knew German better. --Trofobi (talk) 07:34, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

RBLR

Hi,

I notice you have reported me to the Edit Warring notice board, and I have read your reasoning. I understand where you are coming from, but feel you have made an error. You have assumed that the edits are from one person, using multiple IP's.

This is the problem of open editting.

The Royal British Legion Riders Branch has 6000 members, and a short while ago one of the members commented on our forum that the Misplaced Pages entry was listing us as a motorcycle club.

This has resulted in a number of members making a number of edits independantly, so looking like a vandalism attack. If you have an open edit policy then this will happen from time to time.

Your colleague Dennis Bratland has explained to me about the definition of 'club' used by the motorcycle section of wikipedia, and I understand your view.

Yours
