This help request has been answered. If you need more help, please place a new {{help me}} request on this page followed by your questions, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page. |
This template is used on approximately 15,000 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them. |
Usage
After a {{Help me}}
request has been answered, this template may be added in place of the Help me template (as opposed to nulling the request), to indicate that the request has been answered and to provide instructions to the user about what to do if they have additional questions.
Please only use this template to respond to a user's first helpme request. By virtue of the fact that a user has asked a second question using the help me template, it is known quantity that the user understood the instructions and knows they may repost and how to do so. Accordingly, subsequent help me requests should be nulled using {{tl}}
, {{tlx}}
or similar. This avoids redundancy and saves the space this template takes up.
If a user asks a helpme request using the form: {{Help me|question}}
, do not use this template but rather null the request using {{tlp}}
or {{tnull}}
so that the question asked is not removed from view.
This template should not be substituted but should remain transcluded.
