"Ah Meester, I've been expecting you"

Misplaced Pages is no place for humour.
Everything is very serious here and we are all terrifically important.

Londom 1960s

Template:Did you know nominations/Grand Turk Lighthouse, Turks & Caicos National Museum

Your nomination Template:Did you know nominations/Grand Turk Lighthouse, Turks & Caicos National Museum seems fine apart from a QPQ review which I presume is still needed.— Rod 11:03, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

Chicago in the 1930s

Why did you create Chicago in the 1930s? Shouldn't it just be a part of History of Chicago? Have you seen this done for other cities?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 14:10, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

Why? Because it's a very important era for the city. Rather regret letting you know now...♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 14:53, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Guthrie Govan may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Library in LV

Just saw your note about the library in LV. Don't know why I missed it earlier. Libraries are open here 7 days/wk. Love going there and just sitting in a big chair reading a book I'm about to check out. --Rosiestep (talk) 05:30, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

DYK for Opium production in Burma

Updated DYK queryOn 17 June 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Opium production in Burma, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that despite a crackdown on illegal narcotics, as of 2012, some 300,000 households are still involved in opium production (opium field pictured) in Burma? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Opium production in Burma. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Dog and Duck

I have just done enough work on the Dog and Duck (tavern) to get a place in the DYK queue. I have put you down as co-author so you may want to take a fresh look. I've found a good source and a nice image but don't have time to do much more today. Getting the QPQ done is the next chore... Warden (talk) 09:57, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Done, thanks!♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 10:07, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Many thanks for taking care of that. More anon. Warden (talk) 10:09, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Amelia's Incline

The article Amelia's Incline has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. It is mentioned in a 1957 article (The Eley source is a 14 page article from 1957, not a full book). And, well, that's it. A forum post on wehrmacht-awards.com mentions it, but that doesn't count towards notability. No idea why this has been assessed as mid-importance for Gibraltar, it has no importance whatsoever, it is not some major road or train tunnel. Not everything that exists should get its own article.

While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fram (talk) 12:29, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

I agree, but why the prod and talk page drill? Why not just ask for me to delete it?♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 14:31, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

I mistakenly didn't expect a favourable reply. My mistake. Can you cast a glance across some of the other roads and tunnels? Some of them seem to be having similar problems. Things like Ball Alley System, Brewery Chambers, Brewery Tunnel, Little Bay Tunnel have at first glance the same problems, while e.g. Turnbull's Lane, Bishop Caruana Road, Boyd Street, and Buena Vista Road, Gibraltar are a little bit better but still doesn't convey any sense of notability. No need to suddenly delete them all if you feel that they (or some of them) have more notability than what is there now, or if you want to check them more thoroughly. Fram (talk) 14:47, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

If they can't be expanded, and you're certain they're not notable, I'll trust your judgement in deleting them. I'm pretty busy today but feel free to delete as "author requested deletion". If you delete any which could be reasonably expanded the loss will be minimal anyway as they've yet to be expanded.. ♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 14:49, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll take a second look at them to make sure that they aren't obviously notable, and for any of them, feel free to ask for restoration if you (or anyone else) wants them back. If I'm not available, you can use this post to convince any other admin to undelete them if necessary without bothering to check with me first. Fram (talk) 14:54, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Little Bay Tunnel had one further mention in a reliable source (The Royal Engineers Journal volume 77), the other tunnels had no further mentions at all (as far as I could check of course, they are probably mentioned once or twice in more local or specialized sources). I have accordingly deleted them. I'll check the roads now. Fram (talk) 15:01, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Boyd Street was only noted as the location of Queen's Hotel (which has its own article), Bishop Caruana Road has some local mentions of its very recent construction, and Turnbull's Lane had no obvious notability either. Buena Vista Road seemed at first glance to have a bit more notability, so I left that one alone. Fram (talk) 15:15, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

That's fine. Thanks.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 18:33, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Apology

I'm very sorry Blofeld. You know that my intention was pure. I have cried seeing what happened on the FAC. I was too desperate to take it to FA ASAP. But, once I knew what it mean, I stopped asking others. Come on you know how I feel seeing bad history behind article. I'm very ashamed of my behavior. I apologized to Brain and Crisco. But, I never asked their support but the constructive comments much like Victoria. I don't know what to say further.—Prashant 03:08, 20 June 2013 (UTC) What should I assume? No one is going to forgive me? Well, Alright I'm not here to make friends and pay only respect but to work and I don't need anyone's help. If you were accused on an fac, where you gave your blood and sweat that It would pass only the third time without my involvement is quite an insult. And, if your co-nominator says that only he and others have contributed, then it's an insult to my work.—Prashant 15:11, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Any thought over forgiving me? Come on I haven't done a crime. More than that, I have apologized to everyone. Its so heart breaking that one mistake washes your hard work and it fades somewhere in the mist. Please replay or tell me not to post here. I will get the answer.—Prashant 19:27, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
If you think I'm going to suddenly forgive you for what you did and pretend that nothing happened you're sorely mistaken. Usually I'm happy to forgive people and move on, people make mistakes, but loyalty is one of the most important things to me and what you did was one of the worst crimes in my book. If I can trust somebody and they remain loyal to me then I'm pretty much willing to forgive people for all kinds of stupidity, but rarely has somebody done something on wikipedia which angered me so much given what I said to you. Anybody who betrays my trust like you did with this leaves a long-lasting bad taste in my mouth. I told you at least five times to NOT go pestering people, you kept on and on at me and I made it perfectly clear to you that in contacting those people it could prove disastrous for the FAC. You not only did the opposite but you emailed them several times and pestered them several times and still continue to make a fool of yourself and further sabotage the FAC with your outbursts and clear lack of remorse that you can't see that what you did was a crime on a personal level. You're a liability, and I don't think however much I try to help you that you'll ever fully change. You'll continue to make error after error of judgement and bring other editors down with you which at some point I think will lead to you being banned from the website unless you buck your ideas up. I think you need to learn the hard way that you can't act the way you do and expect people to be courteous and respect you in return. I really hope that you continue enjoying editing here and continue to learn and I wish you all the best but please don't post here again.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 20:13, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Congratulations Prashant you've single handedly gone against all odds and failed the FAC. Graham is right to close it. Above all you've let yourself down and robbed yourself of your first FAC out of sheer stupidity and lack of control. You should be ashamed of yourself.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 22:23, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

I'm really very very sorry for what happened in last two days. Please, accept my apology as I will change from now. If you can give some advice and tips which can improve my behavior would be great. Trust me, you will never listen any complain about me. I'm promising you that I'll change and will follow very instruction beneficial on Misplaced Pages. Please, forgive me. I'm saying this from the bottom of my heart. You'll never have any complain in future. I can't say more but please, forgive me.—Prashant 01:13, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

Prashant, I'd like to give you some advice: stop grovelling like a dog. You owe Blofeld nothing, least of all an apology. Find someone who will help you who is able to treat you like a fellow human being. --108.45.72.196 (talk) 02:10, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
