Iris split
Hi! Why should the movie split off? There is not enough info on it, it is barely a tiny section there! And in any case it is not a separate move but a rearranged cut of the series, which makes for same plot, so part of the new article would be simply copy-paste from this one. There is no reaosn for splitting. 小龙 (Timish) # 18:28, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
The Tragic Week (Argentina)
I hope you can keep an eye on this page. Some people are trying to whitewash history and lay the blame squarely on the Argentine military and police of that period. The Dirty War in Argentina was in reality a replay of the events that took place several decades earlier with the arrival of anarchists and bolsheviks from Europe and that culminated with the coup of General Uriburu. Under Uriburu the police arrested the labor agitators who were listed as communists or anarchists and the anarchist FORA soon withered and disappeared. --Carnevaron (talk) 23:43, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Scouts Canada logo
Calm down a sec here - it's not something that is worth getting in a huff over. If you look at the current logo they are using on scouts.ca it has the "logo on badge" design - not just the stylized campfire by itself. Per fair use image policy we are not permitted to use higher resolution than absolutely necessary - even if we had a higher res version we're not allowed to upload it -- Tawker (talk) 03:24, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
- If you'd like - take a look at Misplaced Pages:Logos - it explains the policy clearly -- Tawker (talk) 03:28, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
- It's not a matter of being the logo-we use the national emblem, not the logo, in the infobox. Your explanation does not hold water, so I'm going above you on this.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 04:37, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
- Could you point out where it is stating that - I see nothing in Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Scouting/MOS - as for the logo size - it's been in violation of fairuse policy all along - nobody looked at it before in that context however -- Tawker (talk) 05:10, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, once you point out an instance the svg emblem was ever used in a size larger than 140 px, which has never been in violation of anything. You first. I'm not here to entertain your misinterpretations of policy.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 05:16, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
- Let's move this to the relevant talk page - discussing here is not nearly as open and transparent as the other venues -- Tawker (talk) 05:27, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Girls with Guns
Hi, you restored these entries to the See also section of Girls with Guns:
I felt that these were inappropriate and excessive. A reader wishing to learn more about the topic wouldn't benefit from following these links. Several of them are movies which could perhaps be included in the list of movies, instead. I question whether Bond girls are "girls with guns" at all. That page describes them as love interests. They're certainly not protagonists. Pburka (talk) 23:50, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Mounted Boy Scout Troop 290
Mounted Boy Scout Troop 290, the article is to a great extent about endangered animals. I don't think it would be good to split it. What can we do? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:13, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not suggesting a split-I am saying those categories are for animals themselves. If there's a ], of course it would belong in the category. But as it was, it's like putting ] under ].--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 12:43, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
- Possibly we have a language difficulty. A great amount of the article is about the animals. They belong in the categories missing now. As long as that is so, I think the cats are justified. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:19, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Dirty War Argentina Page Intro
Have added bit explaining that apart from being a period of "State Sponsored Terrorism" it was also a period of "guerrilla warfare" even prior to the military coup of 1976. I am providing you the following excerpt from the book Revolutionizing Motherhood: The Mothers of the Plaza De Mayo by Marguerite Guzmán Bouvard (p. 22) to prove the claim:
The Montoneros established fronts in universities and shantytowns and assassinated union leaders, while the ERP prepared for renewed guerrilla warfare. In January 1974 it mounted an assault against the army garrison in the city of Azul. Right-wing violence was also on the rise, and an array of death squads was formed from armed sections of the large labor unions; parapolice organizations within the federal and provincial police; and the AAA (Alianza Anticomunista Argentina), founded by Peron's secretary of social welfare, Lopez Rega, with the participation of the federal police. Both sides funded their activities by kidnapping, blackmail, and robbery, and it was not uncommon for businesses to pay both right-and left-wing groups that threatened them.
On July 1, 1974, the elderly President Peron died of heart failure and the fragile political settlement he had forged foundered. In the midst of rising political violence and economic inflation his widow Isabel assumed the presidency. Guerrilla warfare resumed against the army and police and, to a lesser degree, against union leaders and politicians. The ERP began a drive for control of Tucuman, and the Montoneros stormed an army garrison in Formosa. In 1974 the AAA murdered seventy intellectuals and alwyers; by 1975 it was assassinating fifty per week.
Yielding to the armed forces and the police in November 1974, Isabel Peron's government decreed a state of siege, thereby giving the army free rein to deal with the guerrillas. The following year the army mounted a ruthless campaign agaisnt guerrillas in Tucuman and staged reprisals against those suspected of harboring htem. Five thousand troops were marshaled to crush 120 guerrillas, an indication of the repression forthcoming under the junta.

How to keep multiple logo's
To have a logo in an article, other that in the infobox, the logo can't be in a gallery and the article should discuss the artwork of the logo, like is done in Surinaamse Padvindsters Raad. The discussion must be precise, thorough and only if it is not possible to adequately describe the logo in words, you can insert a picture of the logo. That is what I learned from, let's call it a fight with, User:J Milburn four years ago. --Egel Reaction? 12:22, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

Just a note. Misplaced Pages:Disambiguation dos and don'ts and Misplaced Pages:Disambiguation#References suggest not adding references or external links to disambiguation pages. On that basis I removed your request for a citation for Kinnikinnick Foods from Kinnikinnick (disambiguation). After some library research, I have concluded that the entry for Kinnikinnick Foods should be removed from the page entirely as (1) the provided blue link is more than a bit weedy, and (2) there has never been an article at Kinnikinnick Foods. While it is verifiable, it seems to lack notability. --Bejnar (talk) 21:43, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Flag(s) of the Confederate States of America
Hi Kintetsubuffalo, I just wanted to let you know I reversed your move of Flags of the Confederate States of America to Flag of the Confederate States of America per WP:BRD. I completely understand why you did it, but there are other articles titled thus, such as Flags of the Ottoman Empire. I think this is more appropriate for articles that generally discuss multiple flags associated with a country, compared to, say Flag of the United States which is primarily about one flag, though it contains information on others. If you'd like to move it back, you can open an RM. I'd appreciate a notification of this, though I'll probably notice it anyway. Thanks, BDD (talk) 23:58, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

Dirty War Pg Now Mentions In The Intro The Aims Of The Guerrillas
For too long now there was only mention in the first few lines of Operation Condor and the Human Rights Abuses on the part of the Argentinian military junta, giving readers in the first few instances clearly a one sided account. Maybe a month or two ago a contributor added the lines in which it was made clear that the Dirty War was also a period that saw left-wing guerrillas waging war in order to establish a socialist regime, several years before the military coup of 1976. Unfortunately someone keeps removing the info about the guerrillas waging urban and guerrilla warfare to instal a socialist government that are backed up by sources, and instead inserts the following:
...and urban and rural guerrilla warfare aimed at left-wing guerrillas, political groups, and anyone perceived to be associated with socialism
This is clearly a manipulation of facts for the sources in question (Robben and Bouvard) and an online newspaper article available for all to see (GUERRILLAS STILL INTENT ON SOCIALISM) are talking about the violence of the left wing guerrillas and their political aims. The sources in question are not talking about the right wing death squads or the counterinsurgency campaign of the Argentinian military and police.
The vandal or vandals in question, are also trying to hide the fact that the current Pope has gone on record criticizing the violence of the left wing guerrillas. Instead they write:
Recently, the election of Argentine Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio as Pope Francis has caused controversy for his alleged failure to challenge and alleged collusion with the National Reorganization Process during his time as the Jesuit Provincial superior of Argentina.
As you can see with their rewriting of history no mention is made of the fact the pope criticized the left wing guerrillas even the accompanying source clearly mentions it.
I hope you can help keep and eye on this page and prevent these myth makers from getting their way.--SIUHM (talk) 08:55, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
Unfortunately I've been accused of revisionism. This is what Wee Curry Monster, formerly known as Justin A Kuntz (see http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=User:Justin_A_Kuntz&action=history) has written after removing my edits in the intro page:
Misplaced Pages isn't a platform for rewriting history as you seem to think, we're an encyclopedia. The text was perfectly neutral till you came along. There are plenty of fair minded wikipedians around and yes they will fix POV editing like yours.
I would again like to point out the sources included in the paragraph in question, talk about the armed militancy of the ERP, Montoneros & other left wing guerrilla groups. These sources are not mentioning the activities of the right wing death squads and units of the Argentinian military & police which are already mentioned at the start of the intro when State Terrorism & Operation Condor is mentioned as being part of the Dirty War in Argentina. It looks like JUSTIN A KUNTZ (now reinvented as WEE CURRY MONSTER) is bent on denying the fact the Communist guerrillas of that period had taken up arms several years before the military coup of 1976. I hope you can help, because honestly I'm on my last legs.--SIUHM (talk) 06:41, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

Source for Lion Cubs initiation date?
Hi Kinetesubuffalo, I was just wondering what your source is for the pretty definite-sounding claim on the Lion Scout wiki page that the program for kindergarteners in the US will be introduced in the 2014-2015 year...I was under the impression that it is still under a pilot period in certain councils and that the national office has not yet made a final determination about a national roll-out... Classic rock
You added a "citation needed" tag to the article classic rock () and I was wondering exactly what needed verification so I could try to reference it, or do you think the sentence is dubious and should be removed? To me, the questionable part of the sentence is the premise that "classic rock stations re-create the sound of album-oriented rock stations of the 1970s and 1980s" but wasn't sure what you were targeting.
