This is not a wholly original idea on the part of BilCat. He took part in an recent , involving myself another user, who also modified my username similarly to produce the same insult. User:BilCat, with this edit, modified my username so as to form a personal attack, here, on this user's talk page. He also made a point of linking it, specifically so that I would be made aware of the insult, as seen here in this abbreviated quote; "Just to let you know... The Child... one way or another." - BilCat 06:17, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
This is not a wholly original idea on the part of BilCat. He took part in an recent ANI, involving myself another user, who also modified my username similarly to produce the same insult. Though it was made clear there, that such personal attacks are prohibited by policy, it seems that BilCat chose to willfully ignore this, and copy the very same juvenile behavior.
I did correct my username, and following that, I placed an appropriate warning template on BilCat's talk page. I was initially hopeful that would be the end of it, as instead of reverting the warning and 'telling me off', BilCat posted comments to the effect that 'he shouldn't have done it', 'it was done in anger' and he 'wouldn't do it again'. I was actually willing to accept that, in lieu of an apology, and leave it at that. Just recently, we had seemingly agreed to disengage from one another. But, along with the personal attack, I see that BilCat is posting comments on that talk pages of some other users that I have had recent disagreements with, in what appears to be an attempt at canvassing, perhaps for for some kind of a contrived, lopsided ANI.
So, despite his stated plan to disengage, he is doing anything but. Unfortunately, following a poorly conceived comment from User:The Bushranger, where as an admin, he admittedly gives his tacit approval and encouragement for this type of personal attack. Bushranger even went so far as to attempt to negate the warning I left for BilCat, by leaving a ridiculously trumped up warning on my own talk page, advising me not to abuse templates. (ugh. the irony). Following this, BilCat, with seeming impunity, then reverted my correction on Nick Thorne's talk page, once again modifying my user name into a personal attack.
