Welcome to Misplaced Pages!
Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:
- The five pillars of Misplaced Pages
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- Simplified Manual of Style
- Intuitive guide to Misplaced Pages
You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but you may want to consider creating an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (38.105.132.130) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. Again, welcome! Epeefleche (talk) 16:44, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, James Van Der Beek , but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Misplaced Pages has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 03:05, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Besieged. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to Daniel Squadron, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. besieged 20:22, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Re your ANI report
The IP is most likely being used by somebody else by now. I advise you to just blank the abusive post above. Unfortunately it's hard to do anything else about it. Regards, Bishonen | talk 11:26, 10 January 2014 (UTC).

- It's not an account, unfortunately, or it could usefully have been blocked. It could easily be a person who in fact has a Misplaced Pages account, but chose to log out in order to attack you, so as not to get their main account blocked. Sadly, that happens a lot. Anyway, a ban wouldn't be considered for an IP with just a couple of edits; if you check out the banning policy, I think you'll see why. Probably you meant you'd like to see them blocked? See the blocking policy. I realize all this Misplaced Pages terminology is a jungle. Anyway, if the IP's edit had been recent, I would have considered blocking them briefly, say for 24 hours, but such a thing is just pointless more than a month after the fact. They'd never notice. It's true that their Geolocate link says it's a static IP, but that site is not very reliable, and for an IP that's only been used a couple of times, I don't have any faith in it at all.
