'''Palm Desert Charter Middle School''' ('''PDCMS''') is a charter middle school in ], ] in the ]. It is part of the ] and a ] with parental involvement in the school's administration. The school had about 1000 students in the years 2008-09. The school's mascot is Peppy the ]. The school's first year was 1978 as a closer Junior High school for students living in the then "rural" communities of Palm Desert and ] instead of going to ] (] and ] schools, but WMS was decommissioned). Almost all PDMS students go on to ], although a few attend alternative independent studies in Summit High school.
