This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Ukraine. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Ukraine|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Ukraine. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Misplaced Pages:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Misplaced Pages's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to Europe.

Timeline of the 2014 Crimean crisis

The article is a content fork of 2014 Crimean crisis. The latter is already in a very "newsy" format, and I do not think it's desirable to have to manage two pages of similar scope, not to mention the related 2014 Russian military intervention in Ukraine article and the overlaps these two articles have with Euromaidan. Ohc 12:35, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- Keep. There was a discussion for splitting the timeline on the talk. Timelines for major current events are notable. There's Timeline of the Euromaidan, Timeline of the Syrian Civil War (January–April 2013), and Timeline of the Russia–Georgia war.--Rurik the Varangian (talk) 13:11, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- Strong Keep People need to understand what happened when, and a timeline is the most convenient way to present that information.--Bellerophon5685 (talk) 15:26, 4 March 2014 (UTC)

- Ohc has nominated a related article, International reaction to the 2014 Crimean crisis, for deletion. Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/International reaction to the 2014 Crimean crisis.--Rurik the Varangian (talk) 18:17, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- Keep Consensus was to split, is well-sourced. Issues of exactly what should overlap with what are reasons to be hashed out on talk pages, not via wholesale deletion. JoshuaZ (talk) 19:24, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- Keep We cannot put all of the details on here on to the 2014 Crimean crisis article, it would be overwhelmed. I hope that this article will be maintained. It has had little activity so far (perhaps because the crisis is cooling down). --Tocino 05:29, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- Keep The article is on an ongoing event, so its obviously going to read a bit like a news report. This is an issue that can be fixed through editing.Spirit of Eagle (talk) 06:24, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

- Merge into World War II if sources can be found. The only ones I'm finding online cross-reference Misplaced Pages or are unreliable, but if it's as notable as it seems like it'd be, there's probably a mention of it somewhere. Supernerd11 :D Firemind ^_^ Pokedex 03:31, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
- Keep I have expanded and added two references to the article. These atrocities were the subject of testimony at the Nuremberg Trials and the responsible Nazi officer Otto Ohlendorf admitted these and other mass murders, and was hung. The incident was described by eminent historian Martin Gilbert in his monumental one-volume history of the Holocaust. Cullen Let's discuss it 08:22, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
- Keep Seems like quite a significant incident. PatGallacher (talk) 23:28, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
- Comment 35,782 non-combatants summarily executed? Yes, I would agree that this qualifies as a "significant incident". Cullen Let's discuss it 07:40, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

- Keep. It is a short article, now with references, on an important topic. It is not appropriate to merge to the World War II article. If it turns out later that there is an appropriate merger target, such as a comprehensive list of World War II massacre incidents, a future merger proposal could/should be handled at the article's Talk page. --doncram 23:19, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
