] Hello. I am Diannaa and I am an administrator on this wiki. I noticed you are creating articles, many of which are now tagged for deletion or are already deleted. The reason why this is happening is because you are copying copyright material that you have found elsewhere on the Internet, especially from the Internet Encyclopedia of Ukraine. The material on that site (and virtually everywhere else online) is copyright, and for us to display it here is against copyright law. Please don't create any more articles or copy any more material that you find elsewhere on the Internet. Continuing on your present course will likely lead to our account being blocked from editing. ::{{u|Diannaa}} The translation and formatting is exactly from the english site, and those elements would still be copyrighted. Additionally, that site is a University of Toronto hosted site, which claims to be producing their site from a printed encyclopedia published by them. Perhaps there is a common earlier source written in Ukranian/Russian that is CC/PD and that content may be hosted by the UA site, but that is an entirely different matter. ] (]) 19:36, 11 March 2014 (UTC) | ::{{u|Diannaa}} The translation and formatting is exactly from the english site, and those elements would still be copyrighted. :: So sorry Mr Kurbiko. It looks like the deletions will have to stand. As Gaijin42 has correctly informed me, while the original Ukranian prose may not be under copyright, the translations at http://www.encyclopediaofukraine.com/ <u>are</u> copyright. If you wish to use the material, you will have to do your own unique translations from the prose at http://www.history.org.ua/. Sorry for all the confusion, -- ] (]) 19:38, 11 March 2014 (UTC) |

January 2014
Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Viktor Yanukovych, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Misplaced Pages with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 07:54, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Viktor Yanukovych
I undid your edit to Viktor Yanukovych as you left a bold-text example in the article. Please check your work before saving as your changes are immediately 'live'. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 07:59, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Viktor Yanukovych, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independence Square (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:56, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Viktor Yanukovych with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Ukraine is a signatory to the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages. I would think that takes precedence over national law. — Lfdder (talk) 15:26, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

Oleksander Bohomazov
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Oleksander Bohomazov, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.encyclopediaofukraine.com/display.asp?linkpath=pages%5CB%5CO%5CBohomazovOleksander.htm.
It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) March 2014
Hello. Thank you. -- Diannaa (talk) 18:49, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
Hi Andrew J.Kurbiko. My apologies. I see by your post at Talk:Kyiv Drawing School that the ultimate source of the material is not http://www.encyclopediaofukraine.com/, but http://www.history.org.ua/, which is available under a Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0) license. I will restore the articles now. In the future, please provide proper attribution for material you bring over from that source. -- Diannaa (talk) 19:23, 11 March 2014 (UTC)- Diannaa The translation and formatting is exactly from the english site, and those elements would still be copyrighted. Gaijin42 (talk) 19:36, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
- So sorry Mr Kurbiko. It looks like the deletions will have to stand. As Gaijin42 has correctly informed me, while the original Ukranian prose may not be under copyright, the translations at http://www.encyclopediaofukraine.com/ are copyright. If you wish to use the material, you will have to do your own unique translations from the prose at http://www.history.org.ua/. Sorry for all the confusion, -- Diannaa (talk) 19:38, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
