Speedy deletion nomination of Karl Templer
Hello Freemans land,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Karl Templer for deletion, because it seems to be a test. Did you know that the Misplaced Pages Sandbox is available for testing out edits?
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(talk) 20:29, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
The page Karl Templer has been speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This was done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the content of the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promoted something or someone, and which was unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Misplaced Pages is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. A tag has been placed on Misplaced Pages talk:Articles for creation/Karl Templer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Schwartzenberg (talk) 16:13, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

your sandbox
Hi. I noticed your developing Karl Templer article. Administrators have blocked you from moving your sandbox into the normal AfC draft namespace I can only assume because of your past run-ins. I am sorry that this process has been wearying. Wikipedians have to deal with all kinds of vandals, cranks, and crazies which drain our collective patience. Since this isn't a for-profit business we don't have to exhibit customer service behaviors, either. We're like the Red Cross; so long as we get donations we don't care if people are unhappy.
I assume by now you've read the applicable notability criteria. You have one noticeable reliable source which is the New York Times. However, the source doesn't say what the lede paragraph claims: "his work has appeared in publications internationally including Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, W, and The New York Times"
. This inconsistency undercuts the article.
I have found instances where Templer is credited with styling the cover of New York Magazine, and in Details, and this spot in Vogue where someone says "My fiance, the stylist Karl Templer, gets me quite a lot of clothes. I am very lucky."
. Bolstering the article with snippets like that would be more helpful. Also consider looking for sources that are not online. That's a harder path but it could be that some of what you're looking for isn't being published online. There could be trade magazines that discuss this in more detail. You might also consider asking WikiProject Fashion for help, as the editors there may have suggestions.
Of course, it's possible Karl Templer is just not notable and you have your own partisan reasons for tilting at windmills. There are alternative online places to build this bio, too. Chris Troutman (talk) 02:33, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
