Problematic IP user
Hello, WayKurat. Do you believe that the IP Special:Contributions/112.198.64.74 is a vandal?Hoops gza (talk) 17:33, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
- I think he's a vandal. He keeps on changing the height and jersey numbers of PBA players several times already. If he changes it he doesn't give out any reference. -WayKurat (talk) 01:04, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
I've decided to report him/her to WP:AIV. He/she's been blocked before. We'll see what the admins think.Hoops gza (talk) 01:22, 14 April 2014 (UTC) IP has been blocked for a week. I notice that some of the IP's edits have not been reverted if you go a little ways back in the edit history. Were these edits acceptable to you?Hoops gza (talk) 02:06, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
- Yup, I'm checking the IP's edits. Thanks for the help. -WayKurat (talk) 11:19, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
How sure are you that these edits are hoaxes?Hoops gza (talk) 19:45, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
- Well, check out this edit. He keeps on changing Sol Mercado's jersey number from "0" to "7" a number of times, then he edited the articles of Marlou Aquino and Kenneth Duremdes, two retired PBA players, then changing their team to "BlackWater Sports", an upcoming expansion team in the PBA (see 1, 2). -WayKurat (talk) 14:42, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
Good eyes. He has been blocked for two weeks.Hoops gza (talk) 16:54, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
Rey Guevarra and Justin Melton.
Hi, please don't change Justin Melton and Rey Guevarra's Career Achievements because they are both Slam Dunk Contest Champion in the 2014 PBA All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest. Please also don't remove Rey Guevarra's achievement PBA All-Star Weekend Greats vs Stalwarts game MVP. Thanks! Davelo15 (talk) 16:53, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
Reverting Cubic edits
Hi WayKurat,
Just wondering, did you revert edits to Cubic_(TV_series) from user AriaSword because of spoiler content or for another reason? I edited the main article entry, and was just wondering why the information AriaSword contributed was removed. Thanks!
Fraunella (talk) 22:57, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
- AriaSword is an editor who frequently adds dubious information on his/her edits specifically on Philippine TV related articles. The editor also adds listcruft information, such as adding of co-stars in a filmography table of an artist. He/she adds legit edits from time to time and maybe I haven't checked his/her edits on the Cubic article, as I am not familiar with the series. -WayKurat (talk) 01:11, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
Thanks WayKurat! I'll check through them when I have time and re-include the legitimate information. Fraunella (talk) 14:02, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
Regarding hoaxers
I would like to ask for your help as some Facebook hoaxers are also going their way on Misplaced Pages, like Zoebryce. He recently vandalized Tribe's article by claiming it aired over PTV-4 (a government station) from 1995 to 2001, but I have already rectified the said error. I hope you also monitor the said person. Thanks! Vgyu 08:54, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
Help
I would also want to ask for your help because I would like to create a userbox denoting that I am a member of the Iglesia ni Cristo but I don't know how. Thanks! Vgyu 08:59, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
Incomplete DYK nomination
Hello! Your submission of Template:Did you know nominations/2014 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals at the Did You Know nominations page is not complete; see step 3 of the nomination procedure. If you do not want to continue with the nomination, tag the nomination page with {{db-g7}}, or ask a DYK admin. Thank you. DYKHousekeepingBot (talk) 21:39, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
Kathryn Bernardo's awards section
Hi! I am just wondering why you did not accept my edit on Kathryn Bernardo's article. She did receive the award and I properly added an accepted reference. I hope you will explain to me my mistake (if ever there is) so that I would know. Thank you! 001Jrm (talk) 02:25, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- The entries you have added may have been accidentally rejected as I have removed an earlier edit from an anonymous IP that adds "She Dated a Gangster" in Kathryn's filmography, which was found as a hoax in previous encounters. You may re-add the entries you have added, given if it is properly sourced. -WayKurat (talk) 02:39, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, okay then! Thank you for telling me! ^^ See you around :) 001Jrm (talk) 03:10, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
Apology
Hi WayKurat. I would like to apologize for my unruly conduct. I ask for your forgiveness for the following:
1. For adding anti-anime and anti-koreanovela sources.
2. For accidentally adding the fake link again during reverting a wrong edit.
Again, I am sorry, and I promise I will never add any "hate" sources. Thank you. -ElNiñoMonstruo (talk) 14:07, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
Use of rollback
Hello, WayKurat.
You seem to be using rollback to remove some of my edits. Yesterday, I used it "To revert widespread edits (by a misguided editor or malfunctioning bot) which are judged to be unhelpful to the encyclopedia, provided that an explanation is supplied in an appropriate location, such as at the relevant talk page" (See User talk:121.97.142.144). Can you please explain how your use conforms to Misplaced Pages:Rollback? --Moonriddengirl 14:47, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- Already explained at your talkpage. -WayKurat (talk) 14:49, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for explaining. I have no objection to the IPs edits that are actually constructive being restored, but it's a good idea to tell people what you're doing before 18 revert notices appear. :) It's not an emergency. However, not all of the IPs edits were constructive. Before rollbacking his edits, I confirmed the removal of a good deal of sourced commentary, all of which seems designed to disguise the publication history of programs in some countries, even when his removal took out sourcing that was used to substantiate other facts. --Moonriddengirl 14:51, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- I have dealt this vandal several times and at first I'm really surprised that someone restored his edits. That explains the number of revert notifications. I really have to tell you this through your talk page but your message came in first. :) -WayKurat (talk) 14:55, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- I had noticed there were repeated issues around some of the articles edited by the IP I was examining - it wasn't the category removal that prompted my rollback, but the removal of content like this after being requested not to do so without an edit summary. He or she removed large sourced chunks from a number of articles; beyond checking to see if the category was valid and established, my goal was simply to restore the status quo to the articles he was removing content from until he started talking. Have you considered semiprotection, if there's repeated vandalism going on for some of those? --Moonriddengirl 15:01, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- Well, the scope is really large since both IPs were editing a bunch of Korean drama articles if you consider semi-protecting each. I've been considering reporting 124.6.181.166 to AIV though, since he/she was repeatedly warned about adding the GMA News TV category on those programs. I'm not sure about 121.97.142.144 since he/she stared editing that kind of articles last May 31. -WayKurat (talk) 15:08, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

This is pretty confusing. :/ A different IP (presumably the same person I reverted the other day) came back and did more blanking - both removing the category but also removing sourced information from articles. It looks like this must be a battle of some kind. I've reverted him where he removed sourced information, but left the category reverts alone - but if it continues, I'll probably semiprotect some. Blocking is of limited use if the IPs are not stable. Please feel free to ping me if 124.6.181.166 continues and seems a stable IP and you'd like some help. --Moonriddengirl 11:02, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: DXEJ-TV
Hello WayKurat. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of DXEJ-TV, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not nonsense - there is meaningful content. Thank you. kelapstick 15:00, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
- I have also declined the other TV station channels, G1 is quite specific. I would suggest redirecting the pages to the parent company/station. --kelapstick 15:03, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
