PrinceSulaiman: I'm an administrator here, so I can see the history of the deleted article ]. I think I know what happened: I believe you meant to tag it A7: No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content, events). However, you tagged it G7, Author requests deletion, and the author quite reasonably protested that he had not blanked it or otherwise requested that it be deleted. If you are going to tag articles for speedy deletion, you really need to double check that you have the right category, because having an article speedy deleted really hurts, and doubly so for an inapplicable reason. The admin who deletes it is supposed to check, but it saves a lot of stress, especially for someone who has taken the trouble to write us an article, if taggers are careful and precise in the first place. Also, you tagged it 4 minutes after it was created. People often save an article and then greatly improve it with following edits - perhaps they are on an insecure internet connection and don't want to risk losing all their work - so it's better to wait a lot longer than that before tagging a new page. When looking at the new pages feed, it's best not to examine articles at the very top of the first page unless they look like obvious silliness or attack pages. And unless you previously edited under another account, you are still a very new editor: your first edit was only 5 days ago. Speedy deletion tagging is quite demanding, requiring good knowledge of the rules and our criteria for articles, and can do damage if done wrong - this article was later deleted for a different reason, but the editor who wrote it was hurt enough to take you to an administrators' notice board. Thank you for trying to help, but I suggest it may be too soon for you to do speedy deletion tagging. Please consider getting some more editing experience before doing it again, and when you do, I suggest you keep ] open in another tab to avoid using the wrong tag. ] (]) 18:11, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

: Hi ], Thank you for your attention and welcome, However yes, I have noticed that i used wrong tag and i mean no harm to that user who created ], I'm not a new user i've been Wikipedian since 2006 (having over 200 edits) which i basically switched account from my old account i had deleted it due to personal reasons. I do also have necessary knowledges in Misplaced Pages but not an expertise, Following the speedy deletion tag ''A7: No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content, events)'' was never added by me it was added by different user however i have added mistakenly used this tag G7, I apologise. I'm surprised that another user whom called: ] did have corrected the tag.

:I would kindly seek help from you, Could you please add semi-protection for an article for ] with a term indefinitely? ] (]) 18:45, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

::I don't think ] has been attracting enough vandalism or edit warring to justify semi-protection, but others may disagree; you should request it at ].

::So you are indeed a returning editor - that's ok and explains why you would get into things like new page patrolling. However, I still don't believe you are ready to place speedy deletion tags. You added G7; someone else added Gll, Unambiguous advertising or promotion, under which the page was deleted. Not A7 (which is just my guess of what you may have meant to apply). So you are still a bit confused, and - you don't seem to understand why the author of the page is hurt. Please stay away from new page patrol at least until you have studied up on all the rules and guidelines (including the advice not to tag new pages immediately after they are created). ] (]) 19:06, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

:::I'm not a page patroller, I have been searching on AR Drone and suddenly ] appeared on result without providing any notable informations also i explained this to the creator of the page. This was my coding error and i have apologised for using wrong tag, Is there anything else i could do?, Please understand that everyone makes errors in coding and while ''others'' corrects it.

:::Regarding ] there were vandalism in previous years i had to fix up them now its all cleared. But i requested to add semi-protection as you know that there are negative situation in Sri Lanka which is causing his images in Eravur the ] are attempting to change his Misplaced Pages, I would kindly advise you to add semi-protection in order to avoid this unnecessary changes in future. ] (]) 19:34, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
