Abu Yusuf Al-Turki (The "Turk") was reportedly the leader of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front. Of Turkish descent, he lived in Bursa, Turkey leaving behind five children in Turkey to fight for the al-Nusra Front. He was killed during a series of U.S. and Anti-ISIS Coalition airstrikes over Syria. The Guardian indicates that he was not the leader of the group, but was rather a renowned sniper. The Long War Journal indicates that he trained fighters on how to become snipers, but does not mention that he was the leader of the group.
