She grew up in the ] suburb of ] to Greg Hargest and Robin Hargest. She is a Christian.

== Career ==

When she was six years old, she landed a part in '']'' at the theme park ].

She cowrote "Feels Like Falling" from Jump5's 2004 release '']'' and several for their holiday release, '']''. She also cowrote three songs on the ] album ]. Hargest started a pop/rock brother-sister duo named Guest with brother Brandon Hargest in early 2008.

In February 2011, Brittany signed a solo record deal with ]. She released her first single "Love All the Way" on July 26th, 2011, and her ] was released on September 27, 2011. She toured through the fall with different acts including Rapture Ruckus and DecembeRadio.
