Yalgaar (India film)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Yalgaar (India film), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://dbpedia.org/page/Yalgaar.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Disambiguation link notification for August 27

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Khatun, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Khan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:40, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

September 2015

Information icon Hello, I'm Ayub407. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Misplaced Pages has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Ayub407 14:05, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Firdous Jamal

The article Firdous Jamal has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Misplaced Pages policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

Complete lack of reliable sources

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Drmies (talk) 18:21, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Mawra Hocane

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mawra Hocane requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 18:27, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

October 2015

Information icon Hello, I'm Yamaguchi先生. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Mawra Hocane, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 19:30, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Thanyou. Fr point it out. WikiBulova (talk) 19:32, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Pakistani Canadian, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Caution for partially unsourced inflation of numbers, edits that were mislabeled as "minor". Do not mark edits as minor unless they really are minor, by Misplaced Pages's criteria for it! Thomas.W 17:55, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Please stop adding unsourced content. This contravenes Misplaced Pages's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Warning for unsourced/improperly sourced ("jatland.com" is not a reliable source) and unexplained edits on multiple articles, edits systematically mislabeled as "minor" even though they made major changes to the articles. Thomas.W 18:03, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Marking edits as "minor"

Hello. Edits can be marked as "minor" only if they are on the level of " typographical corrections, formatting and presentational changes, and rearrangements of text without modification of its content", meaning that 99% of the edits that you have marked as "minor" are mislabeled, many of your edits are also wholly or partially unsourced/improperly sourced (see my comment above about "jatland.com", a webforum that is not a reliable source and cannot be used as reference), which could get you into major trouble here. Looking through your edits I also found many constructive edits, though, so I would hate to see you blocked, but that is what will happen sooner or later if you continue doing things the way you do now... Thomas.W 18:29, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Categories

Please do not add categories to articles that are not supported by sourced content as you did at Maya Ali (actress). Per WP:BLPCAT "Category names do not carry disclaimers or modifiers, so the case for each content category must be made clear by the article text and its reliable sources." --Jezebel's Ponyo 17:22, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Final warning regarding sources

Despite multiple warnings that policy requires a reliable source be included when you add information to biography articles, you continue to do so. If this continues you will be blocked from editing. You also continue to mark your edits as "minor" when they are not, which is irritating and best and can be seen as deceptive by other editors. --Jezebel's Ponyo 16:32, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

Again, it doesn't matter what is "common knowledge" to you, you must include reliable sources when adding material to biography articles so that readers can verify its accuracy. You can disagree with the requirement as much as you like, but you must abide by it. Not one of the three links that you include above meet Misplaced Pages's reliable sourcing requirements. Please read these links prior to adding any additional information to articles: WP:BLP, WP:RS. And you're still marking all of your edits as minor when they clearly are not.--Jezebel's Ponyo 18:21, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
This is called harassment of new editors. Sheriff (report) 17:11, 25 November 2015 (UTC) Sheriff (report) 17:11, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Overlink

Please do not link common terms. See WP:OVERLINK.--Jezebel's Ponyo 18:32, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 30

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Akhtar Chanal Zahri, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Kalat and Las Bela (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Edit War Warning

You are being advised that I will be reporting you to Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring if the edit war on Eid al-Adha continues. WikiBulova (talk) 17:37, 31 October 2015 (UTC)

That doesn't make sense. My edit there provided additional sourcing and was clearly explained. Why don't you report the user repeatedly deleting the material in question and refusing to engage in discussion. Thanks. Msubotin (talk) 18:40, 31 October 2015 (UTC)

WP:AIV

Hi, WikiBulova. You reported the IPs 117.199.163.52 and 117.199.174.115 to WP:AIV. I've blocked the range 117.199.160.0/20, which covers them. I don't think the bot that removes AIV posts is able to deal with rangeblocks, so I'm telling you here. Thanks for your help. Bishonen | talk 16:52, 2 November 2015 (UTC).

Copy-and-paste moves

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you tried to give QB (singer) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Misplaced Pages has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Misplaced Pages:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Copyright problem: Type 056 corvette

Copyright problem icon Your addition to Type 056 corvette has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Misplaced Pages without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Misplaced Pages. For legal reasons, Misplaced Pages cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Psychonaut (talk) 17:49, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

Edit-warring report on Psychonaut

Hi there, I'm an administrator on the English Misplaced Pages. As you may have noticed, the edit warring report you filed on Psychonaut was closed with no violation. Per our usual bold, revert, discuss cycle, when an edit you make is reverted, it is up to you to open a discussion on the talk page to seek consensus, not to keep making the same problematic edit and then report the user who is actually in the right. In this case, Psychonaut's reversions were correct because he was trying to preserve the page history, because all edits should be attributable to the editors who made them. Discussion is the most critical tool you have in your arsenal at Misplaced Pages, along with assuming good faith, particularly when a more experienced user provides you with guidance. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:48, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

Copyright problem: Sindhi Baloch

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you copied or moved text from Little Ice Age into Sindhi Baloch. While you are welcome to re-use Misplaced Pages's content, here or elsewhere, Misplaced Pages's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Misplaced Pages, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Misplaced Pages:Copying within Misplaced Pages. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 11:06, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Iqra Aziz

Hello, WikiBulova. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Iqra Aziz, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Iqra Aziz to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, JamesG5 (talk) 04:36, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Your contributed article, List of magazines in Karachi

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, List of magazines in Karachi. First, thank you for your contribution; Misplaced Pages relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – List of magazines in Pakistan. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Misplaced Pages. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of magazines in Pakistan – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Misplaced Pages looks forward to your future contributions. kashmiri 10:57, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

An encouragement for your good work

The Excellent New Editor's Barnstar

A new editor on the right path
This is to acknowledge your excellent work to improve Sindh. Keep up the good work, what you are seeing above, it happens to most new editors at Misplaced Pages, there are less people who encourage and guide than the ones who create roadblocks and issue threats of blocks. Don't lose hope, just try to understand the policies as much as you can and follow them and you will be okay. Sheriff (report) 17:30, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
