MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Corkythehornetfan wishes YOU! a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Hope that didn't offend you...

Emporia State University

I noticed you removed Kappa Sigma from the Fraternity section with the explanation "They're under investigation and will most likely lose their charter." From my understanding of WP:SPECULATION, Kappa Sigma should remain in the article (with perhaps "(suspended)" after the name) until they actually lose their charter. Contributor321 (talk) 18:39, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

Sounds good, I'll re-add it. Thanks! 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 18:43, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

Your edits to Tulane

Please see the section I just created on the Tulane University article talk page regarding its official colors. I appreciate that you're trying to do things by the book, but the reference that was there refers to outdated web standards, and it's a page that's orphaned on Tulane's website (note it's no longer available from the main page referring to standards: http://tulane.edu/communications/identity/index.cfm). --Bobster687 (talk) 19:42, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

@Bobster687: This page goes directly to the website that you've mentioned. Plus, The C-USA style guide shows PMS 3435 ( ) which is listed on the page I've listed. I will go for the code ( ) listed on this page. This page shows clearly it's a darker color. PMS 640 (Sky blue) may be closest to #4388CC ( ) - which can be used for athletics - but I think Tulane blue ( ) should still be used for academics. 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 03:34, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

Arizona Diamondbacks

Hello, I was just wondering what would happen if I changed some things on the Arizona Diamondbacks' article? Specifically, I just wanted to know if I edited it constructively (changing the formatting and updating the references) would constitute violating the three-revert rule? I don't want to violate it, but I just need to know if me making another edit as I just said I wanted to do (based on the edit history) would constitute violating the 3RR? Or should I wait until the 24 hours time has expired? The last thing I want to have happen is being blocked again, this time indefinitely, for violating the 3RR. Charlesaaronthompson (talk) 21:58, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

@Charlesaaronthompson: y'all were warring over the owner, correct? If so, this edit was fine except you still removed the Jeffrey guy. Not sure if that was an attempt to cover up the removal of it or what. It looks as if they were not in a 24-hour timeframe, so you should be fine. Just because it wasn't in a 24-hour time frame doesn't mean that it won't stop an admin, though. I had warned both Dbacksfan22 and Kaiburton for edit-warring and they haven't edited since. 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 08:19, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Alumni and Notability

"Alumni: Still needs an article..." seems to suggest that only people with an article about them can be notable. Misplaced Pages:Notability (people) disagrees, "People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject."

Those more than cover "multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject." Abel (talk) 13:46, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Then you should be able to create an article on the person, Id4abel. 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 19:30, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
I agree with your specific statement above but I also agree with Abel that the notability guidelines do not govern what is included in articles, only what is suitable to be the main topic of an article. In fact, the main notability guideline is explicit on this point: "The notability guideline does not determine the content of articles, but only whether the topic should have its own article." It is extraordinarily commonplace for material included in an article to not be notable enough to warrant a separate, dedicated article but still be important enough to include in another article.
This, of course, in no way relieves editors of the responsibility of providing reliable sources supporting content they wish to add. Unsourced material can always be challenged and removed. But that - along with due weight - is the bar for inclusion in an article, not whether the proposed content itself warrants an article. ElKevbo (talk) 21:15, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
The point is that no one needs to create another article. Abel (talk) 11:39, 11 December 2015 (UTC)

Broken seal

The seal image at University of Oklahoma is broken after your edits to that page and the image file. ―Mandruss  01:42, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

I know... I'm trying to fix the problem, but have no idea how to fix that. 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 01:48, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
My uneducated guess is that PNG format is not scalable, so image_size has no effect. In that case the fix there would be to revert your replacement of the image. Also it seems the File: syntax is needed for that infobox. ―Mandruss  01:50, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
I tagged the image to be reduced to a smaller size by a bot so that it complies with Misplaced Pages's guidelines shortly after I uploaded the file. It should be fine after that. They usually are. If it isn't fixed in 24 hours, I'll ask someone. 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 02:01, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
I reduced it to 200 and that seems to have fixed the problem, no File: syntax needed. ―Mandruss  02:19, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
Alright, it would've been done in a few hours. Personally I think 200px is too small. I think the file bot would've reduced it to the 300s, which I think is where it needs to be, so I'm gonna make it at least 300px. 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 02:26, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
1. Sorry, I couldn't see leaving an infobox broken for even a few hours. 2. So the infobox will reduce it to 200 anyway, and that's the only place it will ever be used. For lack of a better explanation, I'll assume we're building in some extra size for future-proofing. Deferring to your judgment. ―Mandruss  02:35, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
And the reader can click thru to the larger image for a better look. Never mind 2. ―Mandruss  02:43, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
That's my guess. I've seen the file bot a lot and I've seen it reduce to the 300px a lot. 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 02:48, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
LOL. Now it's broken again. ―Mandruss  03:13, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
I reverted back to your version. It wasn't broken when I uploaded it to 325px... I hope the 200px works again. I reverted my edits on the article, as well. 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 03:25, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
I hate unsolved mysteries. ―Mandruss  03:34, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
Amen, brother! 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 03:40, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Wishing you all the best . . .

Merry Christmas, Corky. I hope you'll be home for the holidays. Cheers. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 22:05, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

Your welcome

Thank you for your welcome. I've been editing Misplaced Pages in Spanish for almost 10 years, so I know the functioning of Misplaced Pages. In the English Misplaced Pages will only minor modifications, because even understand English, I don't know well when I have to speak or write. Thank you anyway. --Pacoperez6 (talk) 20:25, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
