==Difference between municipality and island==
The municipality is known by the French name L'Île-du-Grand-Calumet, but the island after which it was named is ''Île du Grand Calumet'' (without hyphens) in French. But it has been known as Calumet Island in English (see for example ) and sometimes Grand Calumet Island, but that is likely more recent usage. To say "The municipality consists primarily of L'Île du Grand Calumet" is confusing and not in line with the practice to use English on the English Misplaced Pages. Same for ] and ]. This is not the French WP, so use English. -- '''<font color="#199199">]</font>'''&nbsp;&nbsp;<big>]</big> 16:26, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

Difference between municipality and island

The municipality is known by the French name L'Île-du-Grand-Calumet, but the island after which it was named is Île du Grand Calumet (without hyphens) in French. But it has been known as Calumet Island in English (see for example here) and sometimes Grand Calumet Island, but that is likely more recent usage. To say "The municipality consists primarily of L'Île du Grand Calumet" is confusing and not in line with the practice to use English on the English Misplaced Pages. Same for Ottawa River and Allumette Island. This is not the French WP, so use English. -- P 1 9 9   16:26, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
