Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. can u please improve Military of India's Portal?

hi. can u please improve Military of India wikipedia Portal? Actuly if u compare it with something like US military portal, u realize that the Indian one is too childish. Also it is inaccurate coz Indian Coast Guard is not a part of Indian military in reality (see ), but it has been listed so in the portal. I wanted to improve this portal myself, but I'm not familiar with the process.Netstar1 (talk) 00:53, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages and copyright

Control copyright icon Hello MBlaze Lightning, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. All or some of your addition(s) to Aerial warfare has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Misplaced Pages, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:42, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

MBlaze Lightning But I have added credible sources from books also. See the links ] and ]. The source claim that Afghans fought against them. 85.154.171.202 (talk) 12:45, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

@85.154.171.202: Your sources says about 39 Soviet troops fought against 200+ Mujaheedins and this is well mentioned in the article itself! However, some of the sources mentioned in the article also states that the attackers were reportedly wearing black uniforms with chevrons of black, gold and red on their arms and hence suspiciously they were Black Storks (Commando unit of SSG). MBlaze Lightning (talk) 13:30, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

Not some, I have seen the source and it is only one book. However there are numerous books which can counter the claim. Though even ISIS members wear black uniforms. Does that makes them commandos? 85.154.171.202 (talk) 13:51, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

@85.154.171.202: Doesn't really matter if there is one book or two, what matter is that the source is reliable or not, And the given source is reliable and says about pakistan's involvement! Beside, If you have reliable sources that you think can be added, please provide, i will be happy to add them. MBlaze Lightning (talk) 13:58, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:An IAF Mi-17 drops supplies for troops in Siachen.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:An IAF Mi-17 drops supplies for troops in Siachen.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or

You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement sanction

The following sanction now applies to you:

You may make no more than one revert every 24 hours to a page within the India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan topic area for a period of 1 month, subject to the standard exceptions.

You have been sanctioned due to repeated edit warring

This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/India-Pakistan#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. slakr 02:49, 24 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi MBlaze, 1RR is not bad. That is what most of us follow on our volition anyway. Please learn to talk more and revert less. - Kautilya3 (talk) 13:04, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Larkana (Sindh, Pakistan)

Hi, can you keep an eye on "Sheriff" whom you recently warned on 'revert-edit war'? He seems to be following what he wants, that is pursuing his pronvicialist agenda. He has been removing stuff from Larkana and then inserting his mother-tongue 'Punjabi language' without citing any source. He reverts and removes sourced stuff, but somehow pushes ahead his selective material without providing any source.

If you have time then please revert Larkana edit-history to that before his biased reverting to that of Indusengineer (that's me). I even left a message at his talk-page and on Larkana's talk-page but he hasn't responded to my questions, as to what made him revert those edits. Thanks my friend! (Sarfaraz 01:08, 27 March 2016 (UTC))

I have watchlisted that page now. If he is reverting you, then you can discuss the matter at talk page! Or you can take that matter to WP:DRN also. MBlaze Lightning -talk! 07:15, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)I hope you both know this falls under WP:CANVASS?—TripWire ︢ ︢ ︡ ︢ ︡ ︢ ︡ ︢ ︡ ︡ ︢ ︡   12:14, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
WP:CANVASS is about collecting votes for RfCs and AfDs. It is not a bar against editors collaborating, or new editors seeking help from experienced editors. But, in any case, I never knew that Larkana was so hot. I am checking it myself. - Kautilya3 (talk) 19:15, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
I beg to differ. WP:CANVASS says, invitations are allowed in following cases:
On the talk pages of a user mentioned in the discussion (particularly if the discussion concerns complaints about user behavior). - MBL was never mentioned.
On the user talk pages of concerned editors. Examples include:
  • Editors who have made substantial edits to the topic or article - MBL havent made a single edit on the said page.
  • Editors who have participated in previous discussions on the same topic (or closely related topics) - Nada
  • Editors known for expertise in the field - Zilch
  • Editors who have asked to be kept informed - I highly doubt that.
This rather may be a case of WP:NPA broadly construed as it involves an editor (Sheriff) on whom an suggestion 'for keeping an eye' is being made, which MBL agreed to by 'watching' the said page.—TripWire ︢ ︢ ︡ ︢ ︡ ︢ ︡ ︢ ︡ ︡ ︢ ︡   19:29, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi MBlaze, I am not sure why you are pushing against Sheriff. He hasn't breached 3RR and you didn't even open a talk page discussion. So, nothing will come of it. Instead, you are likely to get hurt because you are already under a sanction. You should probably delete the whole thing, say sorry to Sheriff and move on. Cheers, Kautilya3 (talk) 18:18, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

Done. Well, The Edit warring between him and that IP was bit confusing because of multiple edits there. I see he didn't went ahead after 3 reverts so I have withdrawn that report. MBlaze Lightning -talk! 18:23, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

To enforce an arbitration decision you have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours. You are welcome to edit once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block or other sanctions.

If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the ] or ]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."
