Hello from the other side...
Hi there! I can't believe it's been over a year since our editing adventures, haha. Those were the days. I've been a lot busier with school, etc etc, but what have you been up to since the grand FA feat? pedro | talk 13:41, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- I have since got 4 FL's and 3 GA's; see User:SNUGGUMS/Featured and User:SNUGGUMS/Good. As you saw, I currently have an ongoing FTC. I really hope that passes! It's really good to hear from you again :). School can be a bitch. Snuggums (talk / edits) 14:28, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
A little help
I didn't know where to go but here. Can you help me with this article? The user MTSWiz101 is adding an awards which is very poor and not reliable. I have already reverted him, but I'm afraid that I'm in an edit war. Sorry for bothering you with it, but I'm by myself there. GagaNutella 02:31, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
- I admittedly am not really familiar with filmmusiccritics.org. In what ways is it not reliable? Snuggums (talk / edits) 02:38, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
- I've never seen this award in any FL. Also someone asked to delete its article for copyvio. GagaNutella 02:55, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
- If an organization doesn't warrant its own article, then their awards aren't worth including in articles in the first place regardless of reliability per WP:INDISCRIMINATE (although being unreliable is also in itself a reason to leave out an organization's awards). You've made 2 reverts so far while the other user has made 3. The user will cross 3RR if he or she restores it again after being removed as quickly as they have before. Snuggums (talk / edits) 03:02, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for helping me, Snuggs, and sorry again for bothering you. I've just seen he/she came to my talk page lol by the way, after Part 2 receives all awards, I'm planning to nominate it for FLC. GagaNutella 03:10, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
- No problem at all. Snuggums (talk / edits) 03:11, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

GA
Hi! Thanks for the message. I don't know if I'll stay here, I understand a little of English, but I'll try to do the possible. And, I got a request: could you nominate "Good for You" for GA? Thanks, Music01 (talk) 20:18, 26 February 2016 (UTC).
- I'm going to decline because 1) I haven't made many contributions to the article 2) I will not be able to focus so much on an article until at least June. Sorry. Snuggums (talk / edits) 20:46, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
It's sad
It's sad that your entire summary of my wiki-life was as a "former admin".
I would hope that I'd be remembered for my Quality improvement contributions in the five (5) years, since that time ?
I hope you will reconsider your judgments about me.
I will die someday, as will we all eventually, hopefully after a nice long life.
I hope that I will be remembered for my attempts to improve this site and my efforts to improve articles to Featured Article and Good Article quality -- on many topics including freedom of speech and censorship.
Thank you for your time to reconsider your thoughts on this matter,
— Cirt (talk) 03:16, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
- Don't worry; you'll definitely be remembered for more. It was just a common aspect mentioned when former admins are listed there. I personally have nothing against you in case you were worried. Take care. Snuggums (talk / edits) 05:16, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you very much! :) — Cirt (talk) 11:05, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
The one day that only comes once every four years
Happy Leap Day 2016 Everyone! Even though I'm still not gonna be as active as before, there was no way I could miss the opportunity to post on leap day!! Better make the best of it since this only comes once every four years. Snuggums (talk / edits) 05:18, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
- Come back soon Snuggy :( —IB 10:14, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
- Remember that I haven't left entirely, just less active than before. I expect to resume more frequent activity sometime in June. Snuggums (talk / edits) 13:06, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
Some help
Hey, sorry to bother, but I'm trying to shape this Sandbox: JT live performances. Could you give it a little review. Need an opinion, sure is lacking or being extra w something. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 00:33, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Not bad so far. I would however include his musical performances on SNL. Snuggums (talk / edits) 01:57, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Done, thanks. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:30, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

Sex symbol
Since Sex symbol redirects to List of sex symbols, I do not understand why you are removing the links and will be reverting your edits. BMK (talk) 12:14, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- People who tun bots have to get permission for the operations the bots are going to undertake. If you use a semi-automated orpgram such as Twinkle, you, too, have to get oermission to make bot-like edits. You do this by opening up a centralized discussion somewhere, and getting a consensus from the editors participating there. Sinply having a semi-automated does not give you carte blanche to make a large number of edits without a consensus to do so. Please bear this in mind for the future. BMK (talk) 12:32, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Understood. The reason I did that was because a user moved the page with the intent of making them separate articles. The "sex symbol" article was unlinked due to incubation at draft space after the user turned the "sex symbol" redirect into a draft proposal page. It didn't seem helpful to have articles link to a draft proposal. Snuggums (talk / edits) 14:23, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- UPDATE: I just found out that after the draft proposal was incubated and I unlinked that, a user retargeted "sex symbol" to the list. That's probably what led to confusion. Snuggums (talk / edits) 14:29, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Beyond My Ken this is what first led to incubation (and this the unlinking) as the proposal for a new article is at Draft:Sex symbol. Snuggums (talk / edits) 14:47, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but your actions still make no sense to me.
- (1) "Sex symbol" had an existing redirect to "List of sex symbols"
- (2) If someone created a new article "Sex symbol" and moved it to mainspace, and there was a problem with that article, the answer was to move it back into draftspace and return the redirect that's been there for years
- (3) Using Twinkle to go through the encyclpedia and remove every link to "sex symbol" makes absolutely no sense to me at all, under any circumstances. Either it was going to point to the redirect and go to "list of..." or, eventually, it was going to point to a new article "Sex symbol" if an adequiate one was created.
- (4) By removing all the links, you created a situation where if a new article was written, all of those links would have to be recreated.
- Frankly, I see no justifiable reason for your actions, or for your use of a semi-automated tool to do bot-like edits without a consensus to do so. Please keep this in mind, as continuing to misuse aemi-automated tools can lead to being banned from using them at all. I hope that you've used better judgment in the past, and will do so in the future. BMK (talk) 16:33, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Snuggums this is too reminiscent of what happened last December with Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Film/Archive 59#Cabin in the Sky .28film.29 and was discussed with you on your talk page. I just wish you would do a little more research before you start removing useful links. If there is any question about whether link removals should occur just because an article has been moved/renamed/redirected etc I suggest that you ask whether it is time to remove links at the filmprojects talk page or any other venue that could be helpful. MarnetteD|Talk 17:02, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, I will do more research in the future, even if drafts are being used. Just noticed now that a new article has been started up and the old one is at AFD. Draft can be disregarded. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:51, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply SNUGGUMS and for the links to what is going on in the situation. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 20:12, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Of course. It's just that mainspace articles (last I checked) shouldn't link to drafts. The question I suppose is whether incubation at drafts is needed for things. It looks like this isn't one of them. Snuggums (talk / edits) 20:37, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

A casual glance
In looking at the GA noms, it appears that Sonnet 129 should be a quick fail. The article is littered with citation template requests which no one is servicing, and the infrequent editor who nominated it has not been doing anything on it. If you can glance at it at some point. I would support a quick fail. Cheers. Fountains-of-Paris (talk) 16:47, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
- Not sure why you're asking me to look at it, though feel free to fail it yourself. I don't really have the chance to look through it right now. Snuggums (talk / edits) 17:24, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
- Noticed your quickfail of the Revenant and thought you might be involved with some other GA noms. I did add the DVD release date of the Revenant for April 17 next month. Are you planning to do the renom then or no further involvement there? Fountains-of-Paris (talk) 19:31, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
- Very problematic article indeed; quick-failed. I have reviewed many GA noms (see User:SNUGGUMS/Good for all the GA noms I passed), but am probably not going to do full reviews for them for a while due to my off-Wiki schedule. Not sure if I'll review the 2nd nom for The Revenant. Snuggums (talk / edits) 00:00, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

PopDust
Hey, I was wondering if PopDust is a reliable source? I would think not, but good articles such as Made in America (Jay-Z and Kanye West song) and Drunk on Love (Rihanna song) are heavily based on it. If it isn't a reliable source, these are may have to be delisted as GAs.--MaranoFan (talk) 09:37, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
- What are you talking about? Why are you making this so personal talking about delisting GA's that I have worked on because of the use of one source? Popdust is accurate. Back in 2012 I was in contact with Katherine St. Asaph herself, and she verified her educational career in music journalism. — Calvin999 09:51, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oh my god, I swear you are so obsessed. I didn't know you worked on ONE of them. May be its because of your use of multiple signatures? But yeah, I don't believe you, I am asking SNUGGUMS who I do believe.--MaranoFan (talk) 09:55, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
- Okay so you are being personal even though you ask me to leave you alone. You are so hypocritical. You've completely just confessed to making this personal by striking "Made in America" and not striking "Drunk in Love". You ask me not to make contact with you, but you are still talking about me? — Calvin999 09:58, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

Birth of Mariah Carey
Hi,
It's me who left a message on Mariah Carey about the NY Times song from the 69 movie who neutralize the fact she is born March 27 1969. I believe sincerely 1969 is in invention. First if you go see the CBS source on reference for 1969 you see that they say she is 41 years old and the article his made in 2010. But you see a photo and they cite on this photo April 30 2011, the if she was born March 27 1970 she gives 41 years old. What has happened, I think, CBS UPDATED this article in 2011 and initially it was written 40 years old and when they updated the photo they updated the age of Mariah, they erase the 0 and replace it by 1 (40 to 41). Hence this source is not valid. SECOND. JACKPOT. I found the certificate of birth of his infant twin Monroe (born April 30 2011) and it is written Mariah is born March 27 1970 and it's signed by Mariah who certifies it. Here it's the jewel link, you can click on the document to enlarge it once if you don't see well --> http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/22200000/Mariah-s-Twins-Birth-Certificates-mariah-careys-lambs-22216351-605-792.jpg Thanks.--Danielvis08 (talk) 13:34, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- A very interesting find, but Mariah's birth year has frequently been disputed in the past, so you would need to gain consensus on the talk page before removing 1969 mentions. Snuggums (talk / edits) 13:39, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- I just saw your message. I let a message on the talk page of Tenebrae about that earlier but he must be sleeping. I suggest you read all I have written on his page and on my own talk page. Me I'm better in french and in french wiki it's only written 1970 for his birth year. If you want to do it you can talk for this on the Mariah talk page and if you need my advice, I will check sometimes the Mariah article and give my opinion. Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 14:19, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- Go on google. Write: "Mariah Carey birth certificate" then click on "Images" you will see a lot of images. Click on some and on consult the page and you will have a lot of things like this -> http://www.pinkisthenewblog.com/2011-05-20/the-birth-certificates-of-mariah-careys-twins-have-been-released --Danielvis08 (talk) 14:44, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- I already knew how to do that :P, but am trying to find things like Mariah's own birth certificate or perhaps census records. Snuggums (talk / edits) 14:49, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- BULLSEYE extract from the U.S. FEDERAL CENSUS about the ancestry of Mariah Carey -> http://www.wargs.com/other/carey.html --Danielvis08 (talk) 15:35, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- While WARGS does say 1970 for Mariah, the census it lists is actually for her grandparents and great-grandparents. I'm also not sure if WARGS is generally trusted as credible. Snuggums (talk / edits) 17:30, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, In this Mariah interview from youtube the guy who interview Mariah talk about her first album being released and at the debut says she is 20 years old. Or the first Mariah album was released June 12, 1990 -> Mariah Carey hence she is 20. Second, listen the video and start it at 2 min 29 sec and listen. She says that I recorded this album at 19 years old and it was released when I was 20 years old. It fits for 1970. And more irrefutable proof that she can't be born in March 27 1969, suppose she is born March 27, 1969, this means when she said his album was released when she is 20, it follows it is released between March 27 1989 and March 26 1990. How can she had an album released between these 2 dates when his FIRST album was released June 12 1990, Contradiction. She can't have an album released before June 12 1990 and if she was 20 when an album was released it would have been released between March 27, 1989 and March 26, 1990. ≠ . We call that in mathematics Proof by absurd. Look at the video here and don't forget it's Mariah in person who made that statement --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_fesQ8ExpA "Sherlock" --Danielvis08 (talk) 21:13, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- Let's keep this on her talk page; it helps prevent the discussion from going all over the place. Snuggums (talk / edits) 23:14, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
