Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you tried to give Lake Champlain Bridge a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Misplaced Pages has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Misplaced Pages:Requests for history merge. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

You were just told to not copy-paste articles to move them. Cutting-and-pasting again and then tagging an article, demanding that an administrator clean up your mess, is not how to do that. In addition, you don't have consensus to move Lake Champlain Bridge (2011) — obviously someone else is showing you that the move is controversial, so you need to start a move discussion and get discussion and an administrator will take care of it after discussion. This is why anonymous users without accounts aren't allowed to do moves. I noticed you already removed a warning from a bot. Pushing through everything your way after being notified by both bots and humans will probably not help you in the long term; please consider opening discussions the usual way instead. --Closeapple (talk) 15:02, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
