== Some thoughts on our interactions ==

TQP, you clearly have a larger problem with me than any specific content that exists or once existed in the Michael J. Saylor article. If you are determined to investigate on-wiki activities by myself and current or former colleagues, I suggest that you bring the discussion to a forum like AN/I or DRR; the Saylor discussion page is not the place for it. As you can see: I disclose my clients, use my real name, and don't edit client articles directly, so I'm clearly willing to have my work scrutinized by volunteer editors. However, I am not comfortable with any single person substituting their own judgment for the many editors who have collaborated with me or other members of my team previously.

Given the tone of your comments back to our very first interaction on my user talk page last week—when {{oldid|User_talk:WWB_Too|816085151#Are_you_breaking_the_law?|you asked me}} if I thought my work here is "illegal"—it appears you have made up your mind already. And if I read {{diff|Talk:Michael_J._Saylor|next|816380483|this comment}} correctly, it seems that you are also determined to review the entire history of my ''personal'' Misplaced Pages account, which dates back to 2006. This very serious and, if indeed this is your intention, it sounds to me like ].

Please be reminded, my colleagues and I follow ] that editors with a financial COI should stick to talk pages; while it ], it ''has'' become the general operating consensus on Misplaced Pages ever since. Both ] and the ] operate according to its basic principles. We do not edit Misplaced Pages articles directly, only one person is active on a given talk page at a time, and we most certainly ''do not'' share accounts. Knowing we will face community review, we only include material we believe is encyclopedic. Nevertheless, we are fully aware that editors may disagree with some suggestions, and we're responsive to constructive feedback. Importantly, there is no content on the Saylor article or any other where we have been involved which was not previously approved by a member of the Misplaced Pages community exercising their own judgment.

Finally, I am stepping away from Misplaced Pages for a short Christmas vacation, and I hope we can have a more agreeable conversation after that. Happy holidays to you. ] (] · ]) 21:49, 21 December 2017 (UTC)

Help request

Hi! I have been asked to write up an editorial for The Signpost. It is at User:Guy Macon/Draft of Signpost Editorial. If you have time, could you give it a quick look and correct any glaring errors you spot? Thanks! --Guy Macon (talk) 04:04, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

@Guy Macon: It may be possible to find a more elegant solution for the sentence about the chessboard problem. I prefer using parentheses inside a sentence (like this). (This looks weird.) (((The Quixotic Potato))) (talk) 04:56, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

Thankyou for helping

Thankyou for taking up the work to improve Misplaced Pages by ridding it of articles on non-notable beauty pageant contestants. This is difficult work, especially since it will at times lead to attacks from a group of people who defend these articles against normal standards of notability. Yes, I saw, but those not looking closer may thing you opposed if you don't say something like "cmt" or "reply" in the edit summary. Did you know that I passed your quote collection to someone who needs one per day? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:23, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
I rarely find editsummaries useful, and I rarely use them. I love reading (my father has more books than my local library) and I am extremely curious so I never think: "Reading that editsummary saved me some time, now I won't have to read the actual edit". I hope they enjoy the quotes! Of course I do not agree with every quote (let alone every author of those quotes), but I found the quotes interesting and I hope others do too. Hey I want to report the user ( ZxxZxxZ ).

I saw some of his contributions and some suspicious things..

He removes things that offend his country ( iran ) and add lines that offend a country that is an enemy of his. From a qatari-owned news channel ( Knowing that qatar is an enemy of Saudi Arabia which means most likely it's fake news with the aim of offending Saudi Arabia) as his sources. ANI Experiences survey

The Wikimedia Foundation Community health initiative (led by the Safety and Support and Anti-Harassment Tools team) is conducting a survey for en.wikipedia contributors on their experience and satisfaction level with the Administrator’s Noticeboard/Incidents. This survey will be integral to gathering information about how this noticeboard works - which problems it deals with well, and which problems it struggles with.

The survey should take 10-20 minutes to answer, and your individual responses will not be made public. The survey is delivered through Google Forms. The privacy policy for the survey describes how and when Wikimedia collects, uses, and shares the information we receive from survey participants and can be found here:

If you would like to take this survey, please sign up on this page, and a link for the survey will be mailed to you via Special:Emailuser.

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, The Quixotic Potato. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Some thoughts on our interactions

Given the tone of your comments back to our very first interaction on my user talk page last week—when you asked me if I thought my work here is "illegal"—it appears you have made up your mind already. And if I read this comment correctly, it seems that you are also determined to review the entire history of my personal Misplaced Pages account, which dates back to 2006. This very serious and, if indeed this is your intention, it sounds to me like textbook wikihounding.

Please be reminded, my colleagues and I follow advice given by Jimmy Wales in 2012 that editors with a financial COI should stick to talk pages; while it never became actual policy, it has become the general operating consensus on Misplaced Pages ever since. Both AfC and the requested edit queue operate according to its basic principles. We do not edit Misplaced Pages articles directly, only one person is active on a given talk page at a time, and we most certainly do not share accounts.

WWB Too (Talk · COI) 21:49, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
