Your unthinking support of ] demotes you in my eyes as an unthingking partician to yourr friends, or whatteveer, and that you bother in no way to check out facts before you spout off. Mindlessly, you tried to pIacate both sides. I think your true colors are revealed. Rejoice if you must. Perhaps you are the "in deniall" sort of peerson. It would be a shame to lose your creditibilty over such as ], althoogh your personal montivation is known to you alone. Somehow I had believed you were above this kind of behavior. Prove me right! I want to believe that, however diffiicult in light of your recent two-timing messages. I realize you are young and "caught up". But being truthful and and upfront is better, don't your thini? ] 03:54, 28 October 2006 (UTC) |

I'm never wrong, don't bother trying to argue.

Sorry
Sorry about deleting stuff off my talk page, i'm new at this and figured after I read them I could get rid of them, and didn't see another way how to...How can I get rid of them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iturcotte (talk • contribs)
Guitar equipment
You rock, dude! It's awesome to finally get those articles under our roof. Replied to your e-mail also :) --Aguerriero (talk) 03:46, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- I asked a fellow admin that has more experience than I what the convention is for that sort of thing. A straight block will not stop him, since you can edit your Talk page when blocked. You can always count on a Russian when in need. ;) --Aguerriero (talk) 14:46, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- I chimed in at AIN, for what it's worth. No response on recent project invites, but I think I will be able to get our newsletter delivered by bot next time. I am working on making the Guitar equipment task force page a proper task force page. Bear with me while under construction. :) --Aguerriero (talk) 17:46, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
re: Brian May
I agree with your assessment. Ultimately, a totally free image will always win over a copyrighted fair use image, but the one we have there is already free. I also responded at the article that the image should illustrate the subject to casual browsers or weak English readers. Makes sense to me. I don't think he will find much support for randomly swapping out images to "passport photos". --Aguerriero (talk) 14:57, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Christiane Amanpour
What's wrong with including Chritiane Amanpour to the list of folks who showed at the reunion. I think it speaks well of the band that the audience was a little more diverse than the flightly likes of Jude Law.
- Misplaced Pages has too much fancruft as it is. The celebrity list can basically be reduced to 3 words: 'Celebrities were there' Anger22 18:32, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Saw your note
On User:Aguerriero's talk page. I added the ip to the checkuser request. I think it will be a big help! Ekajati (yakity-yak) 19:12, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Eavesdropper! :) Not sure what help it'll be. Whether convict/clear as long as some quality editing is the result, Misplaced Pages wins. Anger22
- Yeah I'm not exactly sure how the checkuser tool works, but I'm sure the IP address will help them match everything up. --Aguerriero (talk) 21:26, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Popups
Popups are great, but you usually don't want to use the default summary for a reversion of something that's not vandalism, as you did here. Instead, just type a short explanation for why you are reverting into the summary box. Thanks! Λυδαcιτγ 21:02, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- When I have time, edit summaries are handy. Sometimes there is no time. Also, popups aren't just for vandalism(although they come in particularly handy for that) Cheers! Anger22 21:06, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- I understand, and it's no big deal, but I think it's better then to simply type "rv" alone, which is less insulting to a good-faith contributor. Λυδαcιτγ 01:08, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

VandalProof login problems
Yes, yesterday afternoon was when it went wrong for me, too. I'l let you know if I find a fix. Regards, Mr Stephen 13:26, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Led Zeppelin/Progressive Rock
"Progressive rock (sometimes shortened to prog rock, prog, or progrock) is a subgenre of rock music which arose in the late 1960s, reached the peak of its popularity in the 1970s, and continues as a musical form to this day. Progressive rock artists reject the limitations of popular music and aspire to create music for serious listening, often aspiring to the sophistication of jazz and classical music, sometimes incorporating folk and world music influences in as well."
This is from the progressive rock article, and to me this is a perfect description of Led Zeppelin. Note the last sentence--that is Led Zeppelin in a nutshell. Think about songs like No Quarter, Kashmir, All My Love, Friends, In the Light, Carouselambra, Battle of Evermore, and even the lofty Stairway to Heaven incorporate a medieval theme...it doesn't get any more prog than that. You could argue that they are proto-prog, but one could also say they are proto-metal, and I think they are important enough to both genres to deserve to be classified with the genres proper. In fact, I would argue that Led Zeppelin is far better described as a progressive rock band than a metal one, or even a true blues band. People mistakenly think that in order to be a prog band you must use sythesizers in every song like Yes or Pink Floyd (although Zeppelin did use sythesizers many times, as in the songs I mentioned). Led Zeppelin incoporated musical ideas from every part of the globe and even used orchestral strings in Friends. Dume7 15:36, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
VP2
if you can use IRC then we can get you set up with VP2 this is our channel irc://irc.freenode.net/vandalproof hop on if you can Betacommand 23:48, 26 October 2006 (UTC) Im sorry VP2 is still in testing and you need to be in IRC for the approvals, and because a key to VP2 vpbot which is the heart of VP2 is an IRC bot and at the moment you have to communicate with it to gain access, we cant do it via mail. Welcome to VandalProof! 1.3
Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Anaraug! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page and please note this is VP 1.3 not 1.2.2 see this for the approved list. Request
You seem to have gotten VP going again. I got the same links from Betacommand for VP 1.3, but I don't seem to be getting any executable files when I download. I am functional, but no genius when it comes to some computer things. I'd love a little more step-by-step to get the upgrade working if you have the time. I miss my Vandalproof. Cheers. re: couple o' questions
Mud puddles? Nah. I either explain my actions if I think I'm right, or I apologize and admit I'm wrong if I'm wrong. Comes with the territory. As far as Mattisse goes, she didn't really do anything wrong. There are legitimate uses for sockpuppets, one of them being to avoid wiki-stalkers. There are a fair number of editors following her around, scrutinizing her every move, which can get unnerving I'm sure. If she uses a sockpuppet to evade a block, or to stack a discussion in her favor, the admin position would typically be to block her again. You are probably learning now that there are a few hard policies here, and the rest of it is largely up to the judgment of the admin who is taking action. That's why admins go through the RfA process and have their judgment analyzed. In the end, sometimes it's just a big crapshoot - how something is handled can vary wildly by who handles it.
I don't usually work in AIV, but I happened to notice that day that entries were stacking up for at least 20-30 minutes, so I decided to clear it out. I think it's that time of day - early morning in the US/Canada probably means very few admins online. CAT:CSD piles up at that time also. I guess you'll have to keep an eye on my user page if vandal fighting attracts as much ire as you suggest. :) --Aguerriero (talk) 15:37, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
