| In January 2017, ] launched their first "Anime Awards", covering the best anime of 2016. Judges created a short list and the public voted in 14 different categories, between January 3-10, 2017. The results were announced on January 11, 2017, with the exception of the "Anime of the Year" prize, which is due to be announced on January 28, 2017.
