Salter Point is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia.

It takes its name from the geographical feature which juts into the Canning River, which itself was named after Hannah Salter, who was born near present-day Canning Bridge in 1851.

Salter Point is named after a feature on the Canning River. The name had been in use for many years before being approved in 1990.
