I have come to the conclusion that you are biased as far as Kosovo place names are concerned. You are supporting to keep the name Kosovska Mitrovica when it is clear that the whole English world uses Mitrovica, including BBC, AP, AFP and other news outlets. :::No problem, apology accepted. Just one detail: when did I change my mind ? As far as I can remember, I never supported the use of "Kosovska Mitrovica" instead of "Mitrovica, Kosovo". In fact, I don't see any significant difference between them, and would be more or less equally satisfied using one or the other.
Hi Noah30, thank you for your note on my talk page. However, I was only reverting vandalism. I did not intend to become involved in the debate on this article. Regards, ] 12:14, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

:::Morover, for the purposes of the English-language Misplaced Pages, using ''Kosovska Mitrovica'' is no more "pro-Serb" than using ''Mitrovica, Kosovo'' is "pro-Albanian", as both forms are widely used in English-language publications. Only Albanians & Serbs see the names in that antagonistic light. For the dispassionate anglophone, these names have no such inherent bias.

You have hated me since day one but the fact is that I do not understand why; how can you hate someone you have never seen. First you called me sock puppet, and now remove everything I do. Abuse of adminstrator authority. Calm down --] 20:07, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

:Hi Noah, I do not know exactly what your problem is but I assume you have troubles ]. Around five months ago, I thought you could be a sockpuppet of Hipi Zhdripi, given your similar edit patterns and command of English. I was wrong and apologised to you at the time. This does not however excuse you making horrible accussations against me or insulting me in the way you have done on my talk page. If I were indeed "abusing my administrator privileges" that have been trusted to me by wikipedia community, I would have actually blocked you myself. It is not my intention to block you or have you blocked. It is for this reason I have reminded you of the ArbCom ruling and so on. == Massacre vs. Incident==
I will be reverting the title of the Podujevo article to Podujevo massacre. Generally massacre is used for "individual events of deliberate and direct mass killing, especially of noncombatant civilians or other innocents without any reasonable means of defense". As Racak is still unclear, this is why this is called "incident". Regarding Podujevo, I can not find anyone disputing the civilian nature of the victims, therefore I think that it is better to keep the original title. ==Barnstars==
== of Kosovo or Kosova ? ==

Just to let you know, it's considered inappropriate to add barnstars to your own userpage. They're intended to be given to other wikipedians, based on their assessment of your edits. And is there a reason you gave Interestedinfairness an NPOV star for Kosovo? You're aware he's been blocked twice, topic-blocked from all kosovo-related articles for '''POV-pushing,''' right? --] <small><small>]</small></small> 20:04, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Dear Noah30, regarding , I find that instead of edit-warring in every single article containing certain names or words, the appropiate thing to do is discussing the issue in the main article dealing with that contentious name or word, and then, having solved the problem at its root, proceeding to modify all other articles in accordance to the result.

:I hope you can read and if you had done it when you visitd my user page you would have seen that I have wroten "Two of the barnstars you can see below are made by me and are used to award different editors who contributed to NPOV on Kosovo related articles. If you think I have given myself barnstars, then you are wrong, because I haven't.". '''I expect an apology from you''' for accusing me of giving myself barnstars when I have made it clear that I only store the them in my user page so they are easy avilable when I need them.--] (]) 20:30, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
The same is valid to Misplaced Pages policies: instead of trying to edit articles in ways contradicting Misplaced Pages policies' you dislike, the correct thing is to attempt to change the policies themselves, and only after archieving that modify all articles accordingly. This includes, of course, the current policy on ''following common English usage.''

::I did, in fact, miss your disclaimer. ]. Use a ] of your user page to store such things. And for the absolute audacity of DEMANDING an apology from me for a simple error, you will receive none. --] <small><small>]</small></small> 20:40, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
So, if you consider that in this specific case "of Kosov'''a'''" should be used, let's talk about it at ]. If discussion there leads to the page being moved to "of Kosov'''a'''", I would help to modify all articles that mention this party in accordance to the page move :-)

::In fact, now that I think about it, the Subpage method would absolutely be a better way to handle that. Simply create a subpage for each barnstar, and then you could use <nowiki>{{subst:User talk:NOAH/whatever}}</nowiki> to add it to people's pages, without having to copy and paste. --] <small><small>]</small></small> 23:45, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
But while that article remains in its current place (i.e. "of Kosov'''o'''"), in accordance to the two main ideas I mentioned at the beginning, I will continue to edit other articles to reflect current consensus on the issue (based on common English usage) and for consistency with that article. - Best regards, ] 05:02, 14 January 2007 (UTC) <small>If you wish to respond to this comment, please do it in this talk page; I will see it.</small>
:::At the outset, the Subpage method DOES sound complicated (I'll admit I didn't understand it at first). But it's really very simple. In fact, I've just created a subpage for you, by creating a link to the subpage (that doesn't yet exist), clicking the redlink, and adding something to it. Here it is:

:::]
:You have to understand that the name of the party in English is Democratic Party of Kosova and we can not change this name. Do you understand what I am trying to say?--] 16:47, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

:::You can now add the barnstar on that page to another page by utilizing template transclusion- simply use the code '''<nowiki>{{User Talk:NOAH/Kosovo1}}</nowiki>''', and when you save the page, it will look up your subpage, and copy its contents (the barnstar) to the page you edited, like this-
::I believe you that Thaçi choose to call it the "Democratic Party of Kosov'''a'''" in English: I take your word that it is a clear verifiable fact. As such, this fact (i.e. that Albanian politicians use "of Kosov'''a'''") should be included in the "]" article, with a proper ]. But, in my understanding of ], for the purposes of article naming and usage throughout Misplaced Pages, common English usage (which appears to be "of Kosov'''o'''" - see ]) trumps whatever name a foreign political party chooses for itself in English.
{{User Talk:NOAH/Kosovo1}}
::Of course, I could be wrong about this. If you think that "of Kosov'''a'''" should be used you can always file a move request at ] (to be discussed at ]). If that request leads to the article being moved to "of Kosov'''a'''", I will respect community consensus. - Best regards, ] 08:34, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
I've now created both pages. They can be reached at ] and ]. Make sure you only give them to people that deserve it ;D --] <small><small>]</small></small> 17:56, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

== Invite to work on the SFK09 ==

''< - - - - - reset indent''<br/>Sure :-) To be honest, I really believe that such a request would fail, because it would go against the current ] of following ''common English usage''. The idea is that we as editors should restrict ourselves to merely reflect common English usage, and not actively "correct" what we may percieve as mistaken or unfair usages. As a clear example of this, see the result of the very recent move request at ].
] (]) 11:23, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

==Title Namimg==
As shown in ], ''common English usage'' appears to be "of Kosov'''o'''", and based on this I will oppose the move to "of Kosov'''a'''"; but if you really want to go ahead with the move request I will do my best to help you organize it :-)

We have started a project to add in all the albanian names to the

Simply create a subpage for each barnstar, and then you could use {{subst:User talk:NOAH/whatever}} to add it to people's pages, without having to copy and paste. --Kingoomieiii ♣ Talk 23:45, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
At the outset, the Subpage method DOES sound complicated (I'll admit I didn't understand it at first). But it's really very simple. In fact, I've just created a subpage for you, by creating a link to the subpage (that doesn't yet exist), clicking the redlink, and adding something to it. Here it is:
User talk:NOAH/Kosovo1
You can now add the barnstar on that page to another page by utilizing template transclusion- simply use the code {{User Talk:NOAH/Kosovo1}}, and when you save the page, it will look up your subpage, and copy its contents (the barnstar) to the page you edited, like this-
This barnstar is awarded to you by NOAH for your efforts to maintain NPOV on Kosovo-related articles.

I've now created both pages. They can be reached at User talk:NOAH/Kosovo1 and User talk:NOAH/Kosovo2. Make sure you only give them to people that deserve it ;D --Kingoomieiii ♣ Talk 17:56, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kthjellu

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Kthjellu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Misplaced Pages guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tadija (talk) 19:54, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Welcome and thank you for experimenting with Misplaced Pages. Your test on the page Iliria Post worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox instead. Thank you. Please, don't remove kosovo note from the articles. All best, Tadija (talk) 20:32, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

Religion statistics of Albania

I reverted your edit , as I don't believe that the research is biased. In 2010 Albania will do the religious census as noted by the Albanian Government, so all these discussions will be vain, but I would like to take this occasion to thank you for the Albanian related edits and for what you have done for them. However I don't agree with not entering that source on top and felt like leaving you a message here. Best! sulmues--Sulmues 18:42, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

please help add albanian names to wikipedia

We have started a project to add in all the albanian names to the places where albanians live, that would at least be a non disruptive effort to get people involved in the absolute basic wikipedia editing. I am coordinating the work first by listing the idea on the wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Kosovo/Attention_needed

The problem is that this wikihound, http://en.wikipedia.org/User:Tadija is consistently deleting my list of issues.

Here is the text that he removed :

The NPOV means that we should represent all names of all the people living there, so we should have the names in all the native languages of the residents.

 1. District_of_Gnjilane]
 2. Kosovo District
 3. Peć District (Serbia)
 4. Prizren District (Serbia)
 5. Kosovska Mitrovica District (Serbia)
 6. Kosovo-Pomoravlje District
  * Template_talk:Coord_missing#coord_missing.7CKosovo - template :coord missing|Kosovo can we use that? James Michael DuPont 20:30, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
  * Template:Coord template :coord|42.2068|N|20.7374|E|region:Kosovo can we use that?
  * Pomoravlje (region) - covers most of Kosovo, but does not mention it. Needs to be fixed.
  * The cities in kosovo need to have the second level admin information (Municipalities) Municipalities_of_Kosovo we need to revisit them all. The should all be marked with a template.

Please all, join up the en.wikipedia and help us out with adding the albanian names to wikipedia, here is our project page on facebook : http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=100577056656551&ref=ts

Signature

Hi NOAH, how is it going?

It seems that you forgot to put a closing "</span>" tag at the end of your signature (and it breaks others' comments on talkpages like in Talk:Kosovo#ICJ_verdict). Cheers. — Kedadi 16:24, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
