Anthony, my general thought is that a lack of experience with images isn't a big problem. Not every admin knows every part of Misplaced Pages. ==Name of the Prophet==
*On a second point, I am incorrect in my stated belief that The Prophet is never referred to by his unadorned name, without honorific? I had thought that the invariable format was always (in Arabic, obviously) either "The Prophet Mohammed" (however spelled) or "Mohammed, blessings be upon him". I trust that this question is in no way insulting.--Anthony.bradbury 10:35, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
*It has been a long time since I sat at the feet of the storyteller in the market, but I always heard some form of honorific with his name, however so it may be a great deal more variety than your query might suggest, ''e.g.'' "blessed be his name", "peace be upon him", etc. Nonetheless, I am unaware of anything more than tradition that would require it. I don't know of any ]s directly on point, but it is not anywhere near my primary areas of scholarship, so I would defer to others. Certainly saying "The Prophet Mohammed" removes all doubt with respect to what is now a extraordinarily common name. --] 19:22, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi, just to butt in, it is customary for Muslims to write "Muhammad SAW", with the SAW standing for "Shallallahu `alaihi Wa Sallam", Arabic for "peace be upon Him". Some English language Muslim sites use PBUH as the abbreviation. When referring to the role, it is conventional to capitalise the word "Prophet". ] 02:22, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

I have to say that ever since ], I've made it a point to call out ludicrous opposition on RfA. Despite bureaucrat's best intentions, RfA is still in essence a vote and I believe that unless people make a stand against trivial opposition in RfA, we will continue to have distortions in the process. If you read WP:SPAM and still feel that your link(s) does not violate those policies, let me know.
One common argument I hear is But so-and-so link is on that article, and it's commercial! WP:EL doesn't explicitly forbid In links to commercial sites; it depends on the notability of the link, its content, and if it's a reference or a notable pro/con argument on a controversial subject, etc. On the other hand, I think that many Wikipedians would agree that there are way too many commercial links at present time, so feel free to "prune away" if the link doesn't meet guidelines in WP:EL. Incidentally, if you've come here to complain that I've deleted links to your blog (especially a blog with advertising), don't bother. You'll have to find free advertising somewhere else. A good Google search will reveal plenty of places for that sort of thing.
Vandalism and insults left here will be recycled in the bit bucket. Remember: be nice!

Sad news
Anthony Bradbury passed away peacefully on 1st January 2024. Requiescat in pace. Davidelit (Talk) 09:23, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
- This is...upsetting to read, to say the least. Anthony Bradbury was my RfA nominator almost 17 years ago. He and I messaged over the years and I have him on Facebook. I'm saddened to hear that we've lost such a kind and honorable man from the world and Misplaced Pages. I know I will miss him. Davidelit, thank you for sharing this so the community knows and can remember Tony. Acalamari 11:40, 5 January 2024 (UTC)

- Sad news, Tony is a name I remember well from when I was learning the ropes here all those years ago. A valuable contributor lost. RIP. – filelakeshoe (t / c) 🐱 14:32, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- Tony passed his RfA just days after me, and together with editors like you, Acalamari, was a huge part in the progression of Misplaced Pages in the relatively early days. His name was one of those that you would see doing so much to help and mentor new editors, solve disputes and above all, create some very important content. His death, which will create an enormous void for his family and friends, also creates an enormous empty space here on Misplaced Pages. Dr Nick Birse (talk) 20:05, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- Rest in peace, Tony, and thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. Best wishes to his family and loved ones. Softlavender (talk) 15:24, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- RIP, I didn't know him well at all, but it's sad to lose a prolific editor and an admin. It seems he was a steady hand here for many years, and for that he deserves our thanks. Graham87 (talk) 16:41, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

- I remember Anthony Bradbury’s name well from when I first started editing here, and I am shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. - I had numerous contacts with Tony over the years, the earliest one that I can find now dating from June 2010. Both in terms of what I remember and in terms of what I have seen now, checking back over our history to refresh my memory, I believe that I always found him constructive, courteous, friendly, and reasonable. He was also a solid and reliable editor and administrator. Of course I will miss him. JBW (talk) 21:50, 1 February 2024 (UTC)

- I just wanted to stop by to also echo my condolences to Anthony's family and friends. Our paths didn't cross much, but I definitely remember Anthony positively from seeing him around the 'pedia. He will be missed by us here, but do know that his 27,806 edits live on as a lasting legacy helping to improve the project. Rest easy, Anthony. We'll take it from here. --TheSandDoctor 04:40, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
