History

The company was founded in 1974 as LHG kanalfläkt. Systemair's first product was a fan with round connections that was installed directly in the duct system (duct fan) which simplified the installation considerably. Production began in Skinnskatteberg and at the time, more than 50% of production was exported to Norway. The first sales subsidiary, LHG Kanavapuhallin, was established in Finland.

In 2015/16, Roland Kasper was appointed as new CEO of Systemair AB. At the Annual General Meeting (AGM), Gerald Engström was elected as new Chairman of the Board.The Swedish business was divided into two companies. The company Systemair AB became a streamlined holding company with corporate staff and group functions. The newly formed company Systemair Sverige AB conducts production and sales operations in Sweden. Systemair opened their renovated and expanded factory in Slovakia, where Systemair manufacture air distribution products and fire dampers.
