Hon. Florence Kajuju is the Chairperson of the Commission on Administrative Justice (Office of the Ombudsman) and 2nd Ombudsman of the Republic of Kenya since 2nd August 2018 to date. In addition, she is the President - International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) Africa Region; a position she was elected to on 9th November 2021. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 28 years experience on the Bar. She holds an LLB degree from the University of Nairobi, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts, Leadership and Governance degree at Mount Kenya University. Besides, she is a trained Mediator. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 28 years experience on the Bar. She holds an LLB degree from the University of Nairobi, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts, Leadership and Governance degree at Mount Kenya University. Besides, she is a trained Mediator.


Prior to her appointment as the Chairperson of the Commission on Administrative Justice, Hon. Florence Kajuju served as a Woman Member of National Assembly representing Meru County in the 11th Parliament (Kenya) where she served as the Chairperson, Ad hoc Committee on Miraa; Chairperson, Parliamentary Committee on Regional Integration; Vice Chairperson, Energy Tribunal; Member, Justice and Legal Affairs Committee; Member of the House Business Committee; Member, Power of Mercy Committee and Member, Council of Legal Education. Prior to her appointment as the Chairperson of the Commission on Administrative Justice, Hon.
