Hi there, | |||
You recently deleted a draft biography page I created for an author, Frank Golding, on the grounds that the sources were largely from the subject himself. I tried to include a substantial amount of source from reputable newspapers and archives, but I would be happy to return to the draft and add more if it could be restored. Finally, if there is any wikipedia guidance on striking a balance for sources for memoirists that would be helpful - the details of the subject's biography are of course sometimes unavoidably best drawn from his own published work because memoir is about the self. Hi Jimfbleak,
When I submitted my draft for the book World on the Brink, I was assured that if it was not up to standards, I would receive constructive criticism on how to improve it. Instead, you deleted it, saying it is "just a book review." You may also recall that I originally posted a longer draft article, which you deleted because you thought I have a conflict of interest (I don't). I submitted the shorter version in order to remove anything even approaching an opinion about the book.
I would like to respectfully ask you how I should approach summarizing a book that I read and liked, and that is important to U.S. foreign policy, in such a way that you or others will not delete it.
