Old revisions of files
Hi!
Based on the history of the file information page, File:Odalisque with Arms Raised.jpg and File:Matisse-The-Dessert-Harmony-in-Red-Henri-1908-fast.jpg should have one more old revision each on Misplaced Pages which was not transferred to Commons. Could you transfer them?
I transferred File:RKR wiki pic.jpg to Commons, but then I discovered that the first revision has the edit summary Smaller version
, so there should be another version of that file too. After I tagged with {{Now Commons}}, another user moved (!) the local file, although not to the name on Commons, so the file revisions may have been split between the old and the new file name. --Stefan2 (talk) 20:49, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Stefan2: the first file has no hidden revisions. I've handled the latter two. Magog the Ogre (t • c) 23:17, 12 January 2025 (UTC)

Hi! I found a copy of this file in sw.wikipedia (sw:Faili:Klaus Barbie.jpg). I wonder if there is any information that can justify that it is PD now? MGA73 (talk) 21:12, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
- @MGA73: The image is also hosted on several other wikis:
- The deleted file had an incorrect license, a direct URL (link), and almost certainly the wrong author.
- I did a deep dive on the original source and the best I could find was this Getty Images which appears to provide the wrong attribution. The image is reused by reputable sources such as the Canadian Holocaust Museum.
- At this point, I'm afraid I've run out of leads. Magog the Ogre (t • c) 23:04, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
