== Misinformation about PKK and ISIS ==

There is serious misinformation from user @] in the {{oldid2|1199968825|revision as of 11:15, 28 January 2024}}. @] already wrote the details of it.

In brief, ISIS and the PKK are not on the same level regarding the persecution of Yazidi people.

The first source from the (https://www.washingtoninstitute.org/policy-analysis/iraqi-yazidis-trapped-between-kdp-and-pkk) does not claim that the PKK persecuted Yazidis; rather, it states that Yazidis suffered from the conflict between the KDP and the PKK.

The second source, from (https://www.middleeasteye.net/users/bilgay-duman) (a specialist on Turkmens in Iraq) in the Turkish journal (https://www.milliyet.com.tr/yazarlar/dusunenlerin-dusuncesi/yezidiler-ve-pkk-gercegi-6785272), is not reliable because he claims that "the PKK did more than Daesh" regarding persecution, which is obviously false and indecent (there was a (https://en.wikipedia.org/Yazidi_genocide#Classification_as_a_genocide) of Yazidis by ISIS between 2014 and 2017).

In conclusion, even if we have evidence of persecution by the PKK, we cannot equate this with the genocide committed by ISIS.

*:] '''Thanks''' for your edit! While the Washington Institute article (https://www.washingtoninstitute.org/policy-analysis/yazidis-sinjar-when-politics-controls-fate-minorities) provides information about Yazidi people and the PKK/KDP conflict, there might be a more specific or up-to-date source to illustrate the persecutions of Yazidi people by ISIS and others. ] (]) 14:53, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

Languages

The European Union Agency for Asylum indicates that Kurmanji is the native language of the Yazidis. Should the infobox indicate the regional languages spoken by them? Aoito (talk) 20:42, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

Ēzidi

The letter "Ē" does not even exist in the Kurdish language, so please stop with the edit. @Aoito Semsûrî (talk) 14:33, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

Hm, you're right. Encyclopædia Iranica contains errors and is outdated as it was published in 2004. It alone mentions Arabic in two cities in Iraq, while contemporary sources, including academic ones, do not mention it, only Kurmanji. In the Kurdish Misplaced Pages they are listed as Êzdî. Should Êzidî be replaced by Êzdî? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aoito (talkcontribs) 17:06, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

History Missing

History section between 1918 and 2003 is missing/incomplete. Very limited contemporary history/events. 70.18.209.90 (talk) 14:59, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
