The contentious topics procedure applies to this page. This page is related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, which has been designated as a contentious topic. Editors who repeatedly or seriously fail to adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process may be blocked or restricted by an administrator. Editors are advised to familiarise themselves with the contentious topics procedures before editing this page. |

Rahul Gandhi (final version) received a peer review by Misplaced Pages editors, which on 14 December 2021 was archived. It may contain ideas you can use to improve this article. |
This article is written in Indian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, analysed, defence) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus. |
The subject of this article is controversial and content may be in dispute. When updating the article, be bold, but not reckless. Feel free to try to improve the article, but don't take it personally if your changes are reversed; instead, come here to the talk page to discuss them. Content must be written from a neutral point of view. Include citations when adding content and consider tagging or removing unsourced information. |
Rahul Gandhi was nominated as a Social sciences and society good article, but it did not meet the good article criteria at the time (April 29, 2016). There are suggestions on the review page for improving the article. If you can improve it, please do; it may then be renominated. |
This article must adhere to the biographies of living persons (BLP) policy, even if it is not a biography, because it contains material about living persons. Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately from the article and its talk page, especially if potentially libellous. If such material is repeatedly inserted, or if you have other concerns, please report the issue to this noticeboard. This page is about a politician who is running for office or has recently run for office, is in office and campaigning for re-election, or is involved in some current political conflict or controversy. For that reason, this article is at increased risk of biased editing, talk-page trolling, and simple vandalism. If you are a subject of this article, or acting on behalf of one, and you need help, please see this help page. |
This article is rated B-class on Misplaced Pages's content assessment scale. It is of interest to multiple WikiProjects. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Please stay calm and civil while commenting or presenting evidence, and do not make personal attacks. Be patient when approaching solutions to any issues. If consensus is not reached, other solutions exist to draw attention and ensure that more editors mediate or comment on the dispute. |

Category:Indian Hindus
An editor has removed Category:Indian Hindus saying: No reference given for his religious faith discuss it on a talk page before adding it.
I think that the following can support a statement that Rahul Gandhi is a Hindu.
- Puniyani, Ram (9 July 2024). "Rahul Gandhi's Humane Hinduism Totally Differs from Violent and Hateful Hindutva of BJP-RSS". The Wire (India).
- Mishra, Soni (16 January 2024). "'I don't need to wear religion on my sleeve,' says Rahul Gandhi amid Ram temple invite row". The Week (Indian magazine).
- Jaffrelot, Christophe (16 February 2018), "The Most Hindu Of Them All", The Indian Express – via Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
As the news stories make clear, the BJP sometimes claims that opposition politicians such as Rahul Gandhi are not Hindus. It happens on Misplaced Pages too.-- Toddy1 (talk) 11:40, 22 August 2024 (UTC)

He cannot be addressed as Gandhi, because his grandfather's actual name is Feroze Jehangir Ghandy. They have change their last name to Gandhi but, You cannot address him as Gandhi, because their is only one Gandhi and he is the father of our nation ie; Mahatma Gandhi. So please address him as Rahul or Mr.Gandhi as their family have changed their last name to Gandhi 103.42.199.55 (talk) 18:52, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
