The Anglophone Crisis is an ongoing armed conflict in the Republic of Cameroon in Central Africa, where historically English-speaking Ambazonian separatists are seeking the independence of the former British trust territory of Southern Cameroons, which was unified with Cameroon since 1961.
January
- On January 3, seven Cameroonian soldiers were killed when Fulani militants attacked a control post in Akwaya, Manyu. Another soldier was reported injured, and three were missing. According to locals, the militants came from Nigeria's Taraba State, and attacked in two waves, the first of which was repulsed with casualties.
