Of course the people don't want war. But the people can be brought to the bidding of their leader. All you have to do is tell them they're being attacked and denounce the pacifists for somehow a lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.'

I decided to look around for something else to worship, something I could really count on. And immediately, I thought of the sun. Happened like that: overnight I became a sun-worshipper. Well, not overnight, you can't see the sun at night. But first thing the next morning. Several reasons: first of all, I can see the sun, okay? Yeah, unlike some other gods I could mention, I can actually see the sun. I'm big on that. If I can see something – I don't know, kind of helps the credibility along, you know? So every day I can see the sun, as it gives me everything I need: heat, light, food, flowers in the park, reflections on the lake – an occasional skin cancer, but hey. At least there are no crucifixions, and we're not setting people on fire simply because they don't agree with us. Sun worship is fairly simple. There's no mystery, no miracles, no pageantry, no one asks for money, there are no songs to learn, and we don't have a special building where we all gather once a week to compare clothing. And the best thing about the sun, it never tells me I'm unworthy. Doesn't tell me I'm a bad person who needs to be saved. Hasn't said an unkind word; treats me fine. So, I worship the sun. But I don't pray to the sun. Know why? I wouldn't presume on our friendship. It's not polite. … You know who I pray to? Joe Pesci.

Great work so far! I was going to fly by for a copyedit, but I've got a better idea. I've got a bunch of books that cover Lang (and thus, to some degree, ''M'') in some detail. Tell me where--what issue, what topic--you're feeling the article could most use some new juice in and I'll hit my library.—] 10:59, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

G'day Garrett
:In re ''M''. Sounds good. It look like I won't have the chance till Monday, but I'll be happy to sit down then and see if I can find the info you specify. In re ]: You're undoubtedly right. I've been putting it off just cause I know it's going to be hard work boiling the main article down to a satisfactory summary. I'm pretty clear on what's most crucial early and late, but whenever you have the chance to look over the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, I'd love to hear what you think is the crucial meat that needs to stay in the main article and what's the gravy that can be reserved for the sub. Best, Dan—] 22:19, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
I love what you're doing with the ] article but I've just temporarily created a ] article while you're working on it, as I think it's a shame to deny users access to all that content. Well, I guess it's not content, it's a great big list of other Misplaced Pages articles, but it's a damn fine list.

::OK, I've got the Lang books stacked beside the computer now. My Wikitime the last few days has been spent shepherding ] through FAC. The last sticking point is the article's organization. I went with my usual chronological approach, with headered subsections for specific consideration of programming during each decade of the network's prime. If you have the time, would you mind taking a look at it and then going to ] to say which system you think would be superior in this case? Of course the people don't want war. But the people can be brought to the bidding of their leader. All you have to do is tell them they're being attacked and denounce the pacifists for somehow a lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.'

-Hermann Göring

Joe Pesci.

AfD nomination of P90X

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is P90X. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Misplaced Pages:Notability and "What Misplaced Pages is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/P90X (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:15, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:P90xmaterials.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:P90xmaterials.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Misplaced Pages may not meet the criteria required by Misplaced Pages:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Misplaced Pages:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:06, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Film School article

G'day Garrett I love what you're doing with the Film School article but I've just temporarily created a List of film schools article while you're working on it, as I think it's a shame to deny users access to all that content. Well, I guess it's not content, it's a great big list of other Misplaced Pages articles, but it's a damn fine list. Cheers, Tom —Preceding unsigned comment added by Colonel Mustard (talkcontribs) 09:36, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Cool Thanks for creating one! I just hate the drama of Afd and having to do all the leg work of citing the notability of each school so I decided against doing it myself. Andman8 (talk) 16:08, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Misplaced Pages:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Karanacs (talk) 17:06, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Séura

The article Séura has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced/Wikipedia is not the WP:NDICR Yellow Pages.

While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:09, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Toyota FJ Cruiser, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Suspension and Differential (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Non-free rationale for File:Lifeandtimesofhomersincere.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Lifeandtimesofhomersincere.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
