To all intents and purposes they appear to me to be "police" in every common definition of the term. The site also states that they "have the same powers as a Police Officer to enforce the Criminal Code of Canada". Before you start telling me I have no expertise in the subject (being that I am a police officer myself), pray tell me what the difference is. It seems to be merely a peculiarity of terminology, not a real difference.
