text from another TERY SEMEL page, should be incorporated here:

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer YAHOO!'''

Terry S. Semel is the chairman and chief executive officer of Yahoo! Inc, a leading global Internet company. Semel is focused on providing the strategy and vision that will allow Yahoo! to attain its goal to be Internet's leading global consumer and business services company. A globally-respected media and entertainment executive, Semel was named Yahoo!'s chairman and CEO in May 2001, after receiving a Bonus of Equity Securities valued over $110,000,000.00 on April 16, 2001.

Previously, Semel spent 24 years at Warner Bros., most noted for his role as chairman and co-chief executive officer where he and his partner, Robert Daly, helped build Warner Bros. into one of the world's largest and most creative media and entertainment enterprises. Like Yahoo!, Warner Bros. reaches billions of worldwide consumers through its vast stable of properties. Semel is credited with building Warner Bros. from a single revenue source generating less than $1 billion to nearly $11 billion total revenues from multiple, diverse businesses in 50 countries.

Prior to Warner Bros., Semel was in charge of Walt Disney's Theatrical Distribution division and previously in charge of CBS' Theatrical Distribution division. Semel is currently on the Board of Directors of Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation, the Guggenheim Museum and the Museum of Television and Radio.

In 2005, Semel was granted the UCLA Medal, which is the highest honor bestowed by the university, and the Yale Legends in Leadership Award.

Semel holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Long Island University and an honorary doctor of humane letters degree from Emerson.

===Failure of moral spine===
Yes, the above posting seems sweet, indeed quite lovely. But let us not pretend things are different from what they actually are. If it comes to a real issue, Terry Semel seems without moral spine. His focus appears to be on whatever is most immediately profitable and expedient, even if it deviously perverts Yahoo ultimately into something odious and unacceptable to basic human decency.

Yahoo does not even offer a communication channel if you disagree with the way they comport themselves.

Right now, minute by minute, decent and honorable dissidents rot in jail because of Terry Semel. Let Terry Semel speak for himself. If his failure in moral courage continues then may Yahoo fail miserably with him. ] 12:16, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

:Money conquers all. Let us not forget that. In a couple years he and his wife will donate millions to many organizations and all will be forgiven by the right people at the right places. That's how it works. ] 22:21, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

==Billionaire?==
Is Semel worth over 1 billion dollars? Does Semel belong in ]? If somebody finds out that he does and sees this, please add this category. Thanks.

==Bleeding?==

do we have a category for CEOs that bleed their companies dry? ]

== POV text ==

I reverted CarlosRodriguez's edit again because of ] text like this: "In June 2007, after shareholders expressed their disgust at Semel's exorbitant pay and mediocre performance, the disgraced Semel was forced out of his position at Yahoo." He also didn't cite a source that Semel was "forced out". ] 14:56, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
