Grandia, I remember at one point you mentioning that you're from Oman. Do you know if there are any websites from the government there providing more information about Ibadism? Or any common publications? I've gone through pretty much everything they have at my local library and am no longer able to expand the article. There's really very little about Oman in general it seems, and even in Arabic most of the sources I find just repeat what earlier sources already said.<br>
Also...have you considered creating an archive for your talk page? It's getting pretty long. ] (]) 04:22, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

1)no muslim scholar denied the authenticity of the gospel of st. barnabas. 2)just because "some" scholar denied it doesn't mean that what he/she said is 100% right because you still didn't provide any logical stand-alone proof.for example:just because bush said that iraq had wmd's,does that mean that iraq really had wmd's?? 3)who are and what are the histories of these "scholars" that you mentioned??not a single name is given...

:First off, please understand, I am not trying to make an enemy out of you. I am trying to explain what I wrote. It is now twice that you have personally attacked me, and more times than that that you have simply been rude. I would appreciate if we could keep this discussion on civil grounds.
:To explain, I actually took that quote right from ] on Misplaced Pages. That was not my own quote. Someone else wrote it. Secondly, when I called it a quackery in the edit summary, I was mimicking something that someone else had written earlier. So I am certainly not alonen in my position. If something is controversial, it is standard procedure that it is discussed on the talk page before it is added. This happens often; it happened with one of my edits earlier today. Please respect this. Thank you for your patience. -] 10:30, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
:Also, I believe that you are slightly mistaken in your facts. You have stated "no muslim scholar denied the authenticity of the gospel of st. barnabas." This is a blanket statement, and I find that highly doubtful. http://www.sacred-texts.com/isl/gbar/index.htm, a non-partisan site, describes the text as solely adopted by Muslims, and completely rejected by western scholarship. Thus, it is not "some scholar" who says it's wrong. If anything, it is most of ''any'' scholar who says it wrong, with some notable exceptions in the Muslim world. -] 10:33, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
If you wish to have a discussion on the talk page, I am certainly prepared to back up my statements with reliable sources.

:Thanks for your comment on my Talk page. In general it is fine to quote and cite the source, providing your quote does not make up the majority of the article, and provided your quote does not replicate the entire underlying source. Those are the areas where we get into hot water. So you could quote and cite one sentence say from the Columbia Enc. but if you quote the entire entry that's a no-no. Also if our entire article is simply one big quote, that's a no-no. The best articles have a mixture of direct and indirect quotes, plus summations of other sources all mixed together. English language source question
Grandia, I remember at one point you mentioning that you're from Oman. Do you know if there are any websites from the government there providing more information about Ibadism? Or any common publications? I've gone through pretty much everything they have at my local library and am no longer able to expand the article. There's really very little about Oman in general it seems, and even in Arabic most of the sources I find just repeat what earlier sources already said.
Also...have you considered creating an archive for your talk page? It's getting pretty long. MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:22, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Islambouli.JPG
Thanks for uploading File:Islambouli.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Misplaced Pages's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly 22:00, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. April 2016
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Izno (talk) 13:56, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, Grandia01. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Refimprov tagging
Hi Grandia, you tagged a section on Lars Kruse for reference improvement. Did you consult the Danish source at the end of that paragraph? If so, could you highlight the statements you found unsupported? Thank you. Samsara 19:17, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Karl donitz.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Karl donitz.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Misplaced Pages may not meet the criteria required by Misplaced Pages:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Misplaced Pages:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 17:57, 5 July 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 2
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Palazzo dei Normanni, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Frederick II (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your edits to "Edward Kelley"
You have made a number of edits to "Edward Kelley" in which you claim the sections are unreferenced and original research. "Unreferenced" mean no citations at all, but some of these sections contain at least one reference, so this is not the correct template to use. Your claims are blatently untrue for the section "References in fiction, film and music". This section cites each and every work in which the reference occurs. Please note that although sources are usually given in endnotes, there is no need for an endnote when the source is sufficiently described in the text. Jc3s5h (talk) 11:42, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands
Please don't edit RFPP archives. Let's continue here.
he has reentered that excessively-long and uncited plot again and i am not going to play this childish game with him forever. he can write his memoirs and actual playing experience on there for all i care. since you have declined this request and are watching this article yourself as you said then you deal with him, and don't ask others to do more work because of your decisions
First off, let's address "excessively-long". The current plot is 719 words. MOS:VG#Plot recommends 700 words, so we're barely over currently, and it's hardly worth concern. Secondly, let's address uncited. It's basically accepted that straight forward plot summaries do not require citations, as they are assumed to be primary sourced to the game itself (This is also in MOS:VG, for the record, as well as MOS:FILM, MOS:TV, and MOS:NOVEL). Finally, as I already noted at RFPP, protection would not have addressed anything because you can both edit through semiprotection.
If you're going to run to RFPP about content that's not really in violation of MOS, while edit warring yourself, then whine about how you won't collaborate with other editors outside of wholesale removal, it's possible that your own edits are the one that will be scrutinized. So to be clear: I consider your removals and edit warring to be disruptive. Do not continue. -- ferret (talk) 12:30, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Ferret: you are correct about the unnecessity of making a big deal over a plot that's just 19 words over the limit and thanks for clarifying that for me. but you're saying that my edits could be the disruptive ones; then, what stopped you from telling me that and ending that edit-war before (especially since you are watching that page as you say)? it's very clear that you yourself do not seem to know what you are doing. Grandia01 (talk) 06:17, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- I warned the other user of 3RR and commented on your RFPP report. I wouldn't have said anything to you if not for your silly RFPP followup, which showed you needed further guidance. What exactly are you expecting, to warn you of 3RR after two reverts? -- ferret (talk) 12:09, 28 October 2021 (UTC)

February 2023
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at New World Order (conspiracy theory), you may be blocked from editing. Are you really claiming that the Germans are Nazis? Because that's what your edit summary implied. Doug Weller talk 14:02, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- I am confused as to why you are saying that "I am" the one who is making this claim: Putin is saying that today's Germany is a manifestation of modern Nazism (and that's what the section is about - the resurgence of Nazism). And how am I adding a poorly-sourced content when is the source is BBC news? I am surprised at your logic (if you got any). if I did something wrong, I will refrain from doing so again. But I did not. Grandia01 (talk) 03:28, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- Um, you really are going to insult me and at the same time claim that Nazism is increasing in Germany because Putin says "Throughout the war in Ukraine, Mr Putin has falsely sought to present Russia's invasion as a battle against nationalists and Nazis - who he says are leading the Kyiv government." Did you read the article? He mentions Germany in the context of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad and Germany giving tanks to the Ukraine. And the article is about the NWO conspiracy theory - you were reverted twice for violation of WP:NOR. So your content is very poorly sourced - original research and presenting the source as though it says something it doesn't. Ironically there are Russian Nazis fighting in the Ukraine supporting Russia. Doug Weller talk 08:47, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- *How* did I insult you? (stop being a softy) and didn't you read the rest of the article where Putin (again, not I) says that Germany is the "modern manifestation" of Nazism? Grandia01 (talk) 09:06, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- You must be reading a different article as he definitely does not say that. Look at the context:
- "Throughout the war in Ukraine, Mr Putin has falsely sought to present Russia's invasion as a battle against nationalists and Nazis - who he says are leading the Kyiv government.
- And he returned to the theme throughout his speech.
- "Now, unfortunately, we see that the ideology of Nazism, already in its modern guise, in its modern manifestation, again creates direct threats to the security of our country," he said." Doug Weller talk 09:13, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- So no response? By the way, I'm not impressed by your "so not being a softy". I can guarantee you that I'm no softy - I find that knowing I'm dying soon makes me angry, not sensitive, no one can possibly hurt my feelings. And insulting editors is a good way to get blocked, it happens all the time. Doug Weller talk 08:10, 20 February 2023 (UTC)

Editing Question Re: Aurora University
Grandia, I appreciate you pointing out that issues were not resolved on the Aurora University page. You are correct, this account is managed by an affiliate of the university. However, we noticed the page was outdated, as shown by the "article needs to be updated" in 2016 template message at the top of the page. We maintained a neutral tone and looked to only update information that was no longer accurate. As you mentioned, we should have advised more experienced editors, but we are new to Misplaced Pages, so any guidance you have is appreciated. Would it have been better to continue to have the page be outdated than updating it? We also tried to add more external sources to address that the page relies too heavily on primary sources. Any advice you have on how to address that template message is also appreciated. Thank you. UC1500 (talk) 20:37, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hello. I appreciate your good work and I myself try to improve the page because I graduated from AU myself. Thank you for keeping an open mind about editing and I will refer your inquiry to an Admin on here who I trust so he -hopefully- will assist you better. Best regards. Grandia01 (talk) 06:05, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Grandia01 You may not trust me (although my talk page might convince you otherwise}, but you are absolutely right. It reads as though it could be on its own website. See Misplaced Pages:College and university article advice and good examples on Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Higher education. @UC1500 you should read these also. - @Doug Weller I do trust you and I wholeheartedly thank you for your kind and selfless help. If I may suggest, please take raw Blackseed oil for your illness, it will help your condition tremendously (if taken consistently!). Trust me (also, see this (https://www.newcastle.edu.au/research/stories/research-impact/using-cold-virus). Please try it and let me know how you are doing. I pray that it helps you. December 2023
Hello, I'm Sandstein. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Dragon Age: Dreadwolf that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Misplaced Pages is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. This refers to the following edit summary by you: "The place of your edit in the article is very misplaced. Such trivial information *cannot* be in the introduction (where it's supposed to be as brief as possible), confirming your amateurity in editing here. Such an amateurish edit by a very new editor that promotes the product could raise many red flags" Sandstein 17:34, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Sandstein, I apologize for that and thank you for the notice. Grandia01 (talk) 04:59, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:LOGO-Branded MINISO bag.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:LOGO-Branded MINISO bag.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Misplaced Pages. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Min☠︎rax 13:40, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
