Well, the difference between "no consensus" and "keep" is pretty much semantics, because the result in both cases is exactly the same. Consensus doesn't mean "the debate is unfinished", it means there's no real agreement but people should agree to disagree since the nomination is now closed. | |||
Kind Regards, | |||
The reason I listed this as "no consensus" is because I considered the four "sandbox" nominations together; the argumentation for and against deletion of all four of them is pretty much the same, and several of the commenters are also the same. The four as a whole don't show anything much of a consensus, hence I closed all four in the same way. But since this is mostly semantics I wouldn't mind changing it to 'keep' if that makes you happy. Invitation to participate in a research
Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Misplaced Pages, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,

Out of curiosity, does WMF have an IRB protocol or equivalent instrument for surveys like these? - Dear @WaltCip,
- Thanks for your inquiry about our processes for human-facing research projects. All research conducted by the Wikimedia Foundation Research Team, including this project, is subject to internal review proportional to the relative impact and the potential of harm the research could cause. In the case of this particular project, I’d like to share the following, all or some of which you may find relevant to your question:
- As a starting point, the project privacy policy references and contains links to the guardrails of data publication guidelines and data retention guidelines we have at WMF.
- The research has been reviewed internally, including by the WMF Head of Research.
- As noted at the project Meta page, the survey has its own privacy statement, and all interviews are also accompanied by a privacy statement.
- As described in the privacy statement, to protect research participants, we will purge raw data after 90 days.
- For this project, we have also worked with the WMF Legal Team, Human Rights Team, and Security Team given the potential sensitivity of data involved. We plan to coordinate with the Human Rights Team as we prepare reporting, with the goal of having them provide us with feedback that can further help safeguard participants.
- I hope this response helps address your questions. You may also be interested in some of the Research Team’s values and considerations for conducting research. If so, please check pages 5-6 in the Knowledge Gaps Roadmap. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out or schedule a 1:1 office hours with myself or Leila Zia, Head of Research at WMF.
