== Custom signature fix needed ==

Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. ] have made your current custom signature invalid.

I want to ask you why my link to the cities in North America was unreliable?. ] (]) 23:49, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
: You should check the ] page. You are adding information that is relevant to ] in an article that regards ] about the top-10 cities. '''No''' central America city makes the list, according to the UN, which is a reliable source. Your strong bias has been noted , where you state that "Central America currently has more influence and popularity than North America." Sorry, ] in articles isn't favored. ] <small>(]) (])</small> 20:02, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

'''The problem:''' Your signature contains a syntax error or obsolete HTML tags.
You do not know what I mean, do you? I'm just trying to let people know that these are among the ten largest cities, but that other latter cities are also among the largest. Also, as you said, the list was for metro areas, you changed that, cause it was originally based on the population of the cities, well, you aren't taking in fact their size and extension.

'''The solutions:''' You can reset your signature to the default, you can fix your signature, or you can do nothing.
Man this dispute is a headache to me, and possibly to you as well. But I never wanted (well I did at a certain time) to cause any damage. I just want to tell the ones who read the article (readers) in what way do we refer to it, since North America has a dozen of meanings and we just refer to one, that's why the hatnote and to let them seek the largest cities that are above the 10 largest, but that instead, are among the 100th largest.

# Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "'''Treat the above as wiki markup.'''"
# Remove anything in the {{int:yournick}} text box.
# Click the blue "{{int:Saveprefs}}" button at the bottom of the page. (Do not click the red "{{int:Restoreprefs}}" button, which will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

# Click the {{mw button|Learn more|normal}} button next to the error to learn how to fix the error.
# Update your signature to fix the error.
# Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.

Others demanded extensive discussion of Romney's religion, and I have always said it is excessive. When others refused to acknowledge the inappropriateness of turning the Romney article into a lengthy discussion of Mormonism, I tried my best to alleviate the undue weight given to that topic. Custom signature fix needed

Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. Changes to Misplaced Pages's software have made your current custom signature invalid.

The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error or obsolete HTML tags.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, you can fix your signature, or you can do nothing.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (Do not click the red "Restore all default settings" button, which will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:

  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Click the Learn more button next to the error to learn how to fix the error.
  3. Update your signature to fix the error.
  4. Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.

Solution 3: Do nothing:

  1. In accordance with a recent request for comment, all invalid signatures will be changed to the default, which looks like "Example (talk)", one month from now.

If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Misplaced Pages talk:Signatures. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:05, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
